Eye in pain again

My left eye is in not so good condition this time. The eyeball is painful and it became reddish but it’s not itchy and watery. Almost a year ago, I consulted this to my doctor and I was prescribed with anti-inflammatory eye drop and must be administered every hour. The affected area last year was the right eye and now it’s the left. I hope I can buy the drops prescribed to me over the counter so that I won’t be spending for the doctor charges this time. I’m sure it’s the same condition and if I will consult my doctor, he would probably give me the same treatment.

But you should know why it's repeating. You should go to a doctor to know it.

I wonder what is causing the pain in your eye. I am not an eye doctor that is why I could not give you good advice. I think it is high time that you should consult again to be sure. The medication might not be working that is why it is showing on your left eye.

@ZedSmart Yes and it may be a different case from the right eye. But I guess there is nothing wrong to try the same medication if you really do not want to have it checked with the doctors. But it is safe that they check it again since they might be a much different case and needs additional medical attention.

The medication worked when it was use. If only there is a remaining in the bottle, I would try it immediately. Yes, I must agree that this must be check even if it means expenses. I don't want also to regret later.

Maybe he would just call the drops in for you? It's sad how they all require you to come in now--for the same conditions you have had before. Even refills.

I plan to contact my doctor to make it sure if I can use the same. If I required to visit and have it check, I think it's also better. Thanks.

@ZedSmart I had a viral conjunctivitis years ago and I needed serious medications. It is better to know before using eye drops.

Yes, it's important to have it checked to ruled out the problem. Last May, it's the right eye and he said it could be due to infection and he prescribed with anti-inflammatory eye drops and it went away.

If the pharmacy won't sell me then, I would call the doctor is I should come first to his clinic for check up. It would also be better if I have my eye checked.

Did you go to a eye Doctor? That would be better than a regular Doctor.

I hope you can find an over the counter medication that will work. If it doesn't improve quickly, I'd go to my doctor. You don't want to fool around with your eyes.

That is true. It's very important and I don't want to damage any one of it. The other one is already defective when it was injured but it can see though it's different.

I don't have the habit of rubbing my eyes though. I just wonder that it's only partially red and not the whole eye.
