How do you feel about captchas? / myLot

I know some people might like captcha's since they are like a little puzzle, but I hate them especially when you do something like click on all the fire hydrants and there is one with pieces in several squares. Some of the photos are so poor too, it is hard to distinguish exactly what they are. Usually captcha's don't take that long to do although they are annoying but one time I was on a site, and I swear I got 15 of them, don't think I ever got "the right answer" either. This involved working on a study, and was able to take it anyway, I told the provider what happened and the fact, I was not a robot. It was crazy. Are there really that many "robots" out there? I mean really. You can come across these captcha's on any site though really.

I think they are crazy and if they don't weed out bots, what is the purpose? Just to be annoying I guess.

I find them annoying as well. I feel like it's a waste of my time and I hate that I have to prove myself each time I go to a certain website. But it's something that I must do and I understand why they have to do it.

If they really worked, I wouldn't question it, but it seems like maybe they do not.
