Granny Is Dying!?!

I cannot brush off the idea that my granny aged 103 is dying. Don't get me wrong about this. I am not wishing or even cursing her in all directions. The fact is based on what I got a message from my younger sister today. The bad news is that my granny is not eating and talking anymore these past few days. Am I overreacting? I do not think so. In my book, these are signs that a person is going to die. By June 2nd, she is running to 104, and it will be tomorrow. The feeling is bitter and sweet for my lovely granny. Have you ever felt mixed emotions in your life? Would you like to reach a hundred years old or more? Image Credit: cdn2.psychologytoday.com

Be thankful for the time you spend with her and you are very lucky that you spend that much of time with her. I only got to spend very less time with my granny and i miss her so much.

@Shavkat in this pandemic relationships have been ruined as you were not able to visit your relatives. Now I guess there are no restrictions in your country too so you can visit her.

Since this pandemic struck in this world, it has been more than 3 years that I haven't seen her. She is too far from us. My younger sister can only visit her.

I hope she can go peacefully. She has had a wonderfully long life. Living to 100 would be ok if I can still take care of myself.

In my opinion, I am fine to.reach a hundred years without any serious illnesses. As of today, she is 104 and my younger sister is there now. I hope she die at peace if it happens one of these following days.

I know it's easy for me to say because you are losing her. You should celebrate her life. At 104 years old you have had the pleasure of growing up with history. Life lessons, change. You have had the pleasure to have such amazing women share stories with you that they could never teach in school. You had the love of someone who was very happy to get to see you grow up to be the wonderful person that you are. So yes your grandmother might be leaving you. Think about it like this, how many of us in this world can say our grandparents lived to be 104 years old? My friend, you are in a class all by yourself. That should be celebrated! Yes, I would love to reach the age of 100 and more.

It sounds too morbid for me to say that she is dying, but it is a fact. You said it right that I had learned some life lessons from her and transferring these things to the young ones now.

Sorry to know about your grandmother. Yes, these are the signs that the person is in his/her last stage. NO, I won't like to live for more than 100 years.

Since I am open to singlehood, I would not like it, too. I guess I do not need to whine more about it because she had lived here on Earth for 104 years.

I think she is really on her way to heaven soon. It is time for her to rest and see our loved ones in heaven.

When we really love someone, it's hard to let them go, no matter what the age or circumstance. If it's her time, it's her time...try to remember your good times with her and how much that meant. Carry on the best you can, I hope you have good memories to reflect on with her. I'm sorry, having lost my parents and grandparents, I do know it can be very hard.

I hope you were able to meet her before she passed away. I understand there were some previous issues, but I believe it is past time for you to resolve any differences between you and their side. In the end, you're still related by blood.

Is it true that if you reach 100 years old you will be given 100,000 pesos by the government?

@Marilynda1225 I must admit that she loves my father and his family. That's the reason why her children keep on pulling us down. We cannot even freely visit her prior to this pandemic.

No, I don't want to live a 100 years. Who's going to look after me at that age? Better to leave this World while I am still healthy and fit.

@Shavkat Living long and being strong at the same time is rare. Therefore people don't want to live long.

She lived long. God bless her. I think I wouldn't reach that age because of my unhealthy practices. She is a living witness of WW11 and many remarkable world histories. I hope though that she gets better soon. I'm still in my sixties but I'm already feeling so old. What more if I reach my 70s or 80s?. Either way, here are prayers for her.
