Good Morning 6/14

Well today is notable for a few reasons, It's my dad's birthday..he already has his present from me, and a few cards are winging their way there. Happy Birthday Daddy.
. Father's Day is this weekend. I have a doctor's visit. Can't wait until that is over, and Nico got outside this AM. Roomie must have let him out when he went outside for a cigarette. When I got up about two hours later when the little Neek heard me inside he started meowing from outside. Thank God he didn't go on the lam. This has never happened before. I am going to have to have a word with roomie though. The door was closed when I went over there, so he had to have gone out with him.

Thanks, well unfortunately he lives in another state, but I think my sister is coming up to visit this weekend with well wishes and gifts.

He is usually pretty good about that. He said he had no idea how it happened as he always looks for him. I think Nico got scared though. He hasn't gone near the door since he has been in. Maybe one of the squirrels terrorized him or something He likes to fight with them through the safety of the glass. However, maybe by tomorrow he will have forgotten all about it.

@rebelann Nico is chilling in his cathouse right now. He is so funny. He brings feathers in there. He takes the feathers out of there, and then he brings them in again.

Yes, I lost one that way. I was telling roomie that I had one once that was gone for 3 days an inside kitty also, and I am not sure she went beyond the hedges out front. When she came back in, she had a nice coating of mulch and pine bark on her. Bad kitty to scare me like that. Roomie says he always looks to know where Nico is, when he goes out and comes back in. He is amazed that it happened. Nico is very fast though. He can move like lightning when it suits him.

@snowy22315 Cats are smart, I always check to be sure that the cat of the neighbors is not inside when I close the door, but I have found him on our bed a couple of times.

Yes, I am not sure he enjoyed his time outside very much. In here is his comfort zone. He's a house kitty.

You and Nico need to have a serious discussion about time outside, in this heat small animals can suffer heat strokes quite easily or get dehydrated. And we don't want that.@snowy22315 (170140)

Happy Birthday to him!! I was afraid that the cats would have gotten yesterday when I have a visitor. So I asked her to come through the back door so I can keep them from going out. We are under a heat advisory so I don't want them to be out. Tomorrow I go to the doctor to get started on Hepatitis C treatment. I found out I have it two weeks ago.

Thank you, he was sort of having a "bad day" which for him translates to not being able to remember anything. However, it is always nice to chat with him.
