Was it based on love? My niece 5'6-her husband 5'1

My niece Kristel Honey married last year at age 24. She finished college at the Ateneo de Cagayan University at age 20, got a work next day after graduation and became regular employee at age 22. Because of her skills and potentials she was promoted branch manager of Marlborough company with a salary of 81, 000 monthly at age 23. She purchased a car then.
Then she was assigned in Davao City and met a guy, got engaged and married. We're all shocked of her sudden marriage. We thought she was pregnant but, NO. They visited home to introduce her husband. When I got out from my room to greet them, I was shocked. Her husband was too short for her 
, We didn't say anything. The guy has face value though short.
Then we learned, the guy is an Architect, board exam Top 6.He owns a company and his parents owned a Rubber Plantation. We can't believe,but it's happening and they look so happy.

Differences don't matter when there is love involved.
My sister turned down three guys who proposed to her because they were all shorter than she was. *shrug* She finally married a guy who is quite a bit taller than she is... Nice guy, we like him.

@DaddyEvil, in my case too, I disliked a guy shorter than me though I'm just 5'4 hehehe. One guy courted during college but I rejected. His height was 4'11,it's beyond imagination. I can't also blame your sister. We can never force. In the case of my niece she told her family and relatives that her husband is very thoughtful, loving and caring reasons why she liked her short husband. Height doesn't matter to her.

@cacay1 I understand. I know one of the shorter guys that proposed to my sister. He's very nice but I understood why she wasn't interested.

@LadyDuck, maybe that's what my niece felt. Even her parents felt dismayed but later on they accepted the fate of their daughter when sensed hey are happy. It's almost a year now of their marriage but she is still not pregnant.

You cannot, however, solely base love on its physical aspect. Physical, emotional, and occasionally spiritual are my ideals. So, all you can do is hope that they are attracted to one another for reasons other than the guy's height or income.

@rsa101 , ye, I agree with you. There is nothing her family and relatives can do. Despite the guy too short but he's handsome and has fair skin, flawless skin, smiling. Perhaps factors of my niece attraction towards the guy. We just pray their marriage would run smooth as years go by. Until now , my niece is not pregnant. She will turn 25 in September.

@Deepizzaguy , hoping those who feel or experience this way loving someone despite odd may give inspiration to other that height does not matter and what matters is love. But for me, I better remain single than to marry shorter than me. My ideal man's height is 5'10. My ex was 5"10 but fate did not bless us. He was diagnosed with cancer of the urethra and passed away 3 years ago. It broke my heart.

Why does height matter when it comes to marriage or love. I’m 5’1 and everyone is taller then me. My husband is almost 6 foot tall. Height isn’t and issue in our relationship because it wouldn’t have matter who I was with him or her would have probably been taller then my 5’1. Do you know females stop growing 2 years after there first period. Makes logical sense I haven’t gotten taller since I was 14. All of my kids will probably be taller then me.
My dad is way taller then my mom she is 4’10 he is 6’1. So yea love doesn’t care about a lot of things. Age, sender, height, religion, and sexuality.

@cacay1 my husband step mine is taller then my husband dad. Attitude has nothing to do with attraction. Attraction is what pulls between together it doesn’t have to be there personality, or attitude. Height can be an attraction thing there are many women there want short guys, or tall guys, or bald guys, guys with facial hair or mo facial hair, might want a guy with a lot of money or no money. Might like guys that are thick like my husband. Don’t care for athletic guys they look like they spend day long in the gym and eats nothing but healthy food all of the time.
I knew what I wanted at a very young age. I need a partner that was the 180 of myself. I like guys that like to tease me and doesn’t mind having fights with me. Don’t need a same minded person what fun would that be.

@ShyBear88, it's normal for a guy to be tall than the girl. It's unusual in our family. It's the husband taller than wife. We'll, attitude matters. It's one factor why a girl falls for a man, also caring and thoughtful guy makes a girl feels like in Cloud 9

@RasmaSandra, yes, you are right, that was what my niece confirmed to me that she feels in love with her short husband regardless of height. She said they are compatible in many things. She also said tat the guy is so thoughtful, with sense of humor and extra patient and understanding. Thanks for sharing your wonderful thoughts and feelings.

@Shiva49, thanks for sharing your feeling. About age difference, I also noticed it many times. I saw in TV news, 22 years old guy married a 76 years old woman. Many accused the boy of an ulterior motive or the old woman abused the kid. We really do not know exactly why this age gap marriage happens. I do not believe it is bind with love. The old woman is rich and the guy is poor perhaps the guy wants survival motive.

@aninditasen, many prefer looks over other things. For me, I better remain single than marry a guy shorter than me. Someone courted me , height 4"10 and I rejected his proposal. I cannot explain my feeling of dialkenes. I am attracted with tall guy of 5'10 in height. My ex was 5'10 but so sad he was sick of cancer of the urethra and passed away 3 years ago. I felt my heart torn to pieces. This time, I still remember the love of my life.
