Happy Thursday Everyone! another hot day here in my neck of the woods. The sun is alternating with the clouds and they're taking turns coming out. One minute the sun is shining brightly and the next it hides behind some gray clouds. Will we get rain? It's anyones guess at the point.
The lawn crew showed up this morning which is a mystery to me. The grass is more brown than green, isn't very high and certainly doesn't look like it needs mowing.
The guys are riding back and forth and maybe they don't even have the blades low enough to mow anything and just giving the appearance of lawn care. They weren't here last week so maybe they need an excuse to bill the HOA. Heaven forbid if we have any surplus in our account.
Can't say there's much else going on here.
Things have been quiet and it's just been too hot to go anywhere and do anything.
I've been crocheting and reading so that helps the day go by.
If it doesn't rain we're going to have burgers on the grill otherwise we'll have to do them the old fashioned way....on the stove

Nothing going on here today, either. It rained yesterday and the temp dropped down to 67F overnight. It still feels nice outside but we still have black clouds with thunder out there. The forecast says a 75% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. I hope it's right.

@DaddyEvil It did not rain here. I needed the rain during the power outage but it did not fall despite the dark clouds.

@Marilynda1225 We dropped to 69F last night while it was storming and are still at 71F now. The forecast claims we'll only reach 76F today with more rain. It feels really nice outside. We shut the A/C off yesterday after the temp dropped and opened doors and windows to let the fresh air flow through.

My day was uneventful but ok. Hibernating in the a/c seems to be how I'm spending most of my days lately.We got a bit of rain last night but it's still hot.

Guess we're the opposite here and wishing for some rain. It would be nice if we could trade rain and sun for a day or two

I completed an assignment for a client today. As usual, had a very early morning walk. Other than that, just stay inside with the AC on.

Dark cloud usually indicates that it's going to rain. Nowadays, dark cloud tells a lie. Rain doesn't fall.
There's nothing special happened to me today. I am happy, though.

@Marilynda1225 We had a bit of rain which lasted for only 15 minutes. Didn't help to cool down the temperature.

@Marilynda1225 Its really hot out West, and that hot air flows easterly, so you and I will feel it.
But, on a happier note, I spoke with someone out West today and they told me that their gasoline prices were coming down, that I would like to see flow easterly too.

you summed up our weather...hot, muggy, sunny and cloudy. Last night we finally got some rain and I hope it helps the plants and grass. Didn't cool anything off though

It is like that here as well, the sun shines and disappears behind the dark clouds. Expecting to rain in the afternoon because of the dark clouds but it did not happen.

What are you crocheting? That is a good hobby and reading is another good one. Our 3 week mourning period will be over next week and then back to normal again. It is getting hot here. I took out a little fan and the old air purifier and put them on my cat because she looked like she needed something. I hope they help her. I have my other air purifier in the bedroom for me.
