My blood sugar is increasing.

For the last few days, I have been feeling pain in my legs and back. I don't know what's going on. I am diabetic but have not checked my sugar level in the last few months as my glucometer was not working. I got it repaired and checked it today and my fasting blood sugar came out to 134 and it's high. Maybe that's the reason my legs are paining. I am worried about how to get it controlled as I don't want to die early.

Hope you could well soon, my dear friend. Your blood sugar is high, and I think you should get some insulin. At the same time, you'd better not to eat any sweet food.

Insulin is taken when the sugar level is at the extreme. I don't think the doctor will advise it.

Oh no that’s not good your testing thing was broken for so long. Good thing you got it fixed. I have no clue if that could cause your leg pain or not.

Yes, it was because of the increased blood sugar, now the doctor has changed the medicines and dosage. He says I will see the improvement in the next 7 days, hope it does

I think you should talk to your doctor, because your back and legs pain can be a sign of diabetes.

Oh that is worrisome! I in fact tend to have a bit low BP when I get high fever. But I am planning to have a long overdue CBC and other Tests. Also I think I am perhaps a bit low on Vitamin D. You perhaps need to walk more and have balanced diet. Plus take adequate rest.

I hope that goes away. Controlling your blood sugar is important for a whole host of medical reasons--they have even linked diabetes to increased dementia--that would get me moving in a heartbeat--

Are you on medication for your diabetes? If not, you should see a doctor and take his advice. And do it soon. Something must be wrong if your back and legs are hurting.

thanks sanjeevji consult a doctor. May be rice or roti in your diet has to be restricted. Rest is fine. Go for morning walk. Everything will be ok

So, are you taking insulin on a regular basis? I remember my boss who was a diabetic. He had to take insulin shots all the time.

134 is in the normal range of blood sugar, but maybe your doc wants to keep it lower. You need to get on top of this though as diabetes side effects are horrible. Former Roomie has pain in his legs and back, but he is not good at controlling his diabetes.

I hope you can see a doctor very soon and hopefully keep a better check on your sugar levels. My cousin is diabetic and she struggles with hers. You should be very concerned.
