Actress Jane Fonda announced that she has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and that she has started chemotherapy. The 84-year-old actress who is also a fitness enthusiaiast says that the cancer is treatable and has an %80 survival rate.. She has previously battled breast cancer and skin cancer. Have you watched any of Jane Fonda's movies? She has quite a number of them including : On Golden Pond, The Book Club, Barbarella, 9 to 5 and Monster-in-Law. Do you think there will ever be a cure for cancer? I recall an article in a medical magazine twenty years ago which claimed that there will be a cure in ten years.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jane Fonda said on social media Friday that she has cancer. “So, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share. I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments,” the 84-year-old actor wrote

The only movie I’ve seen of hers is Comes a Horseman, which I watched because of James Caan. I don’t like her but I don’t wish ill health on ANYONE. I hope and pray the treatments are successful.

They say she is an activist. Right now she is very involved in climate change activities, but l guess she has been involved in more controversial stuff. James Caan is a good actor.

@Kandae11 — back during the Vietnam War she was nicknamed “Hanoi Jane” for going to North Vietnam while our troops were dying in South Vietnam.

I'm not sure the pharmaceutical companies want to see a cure for cancer. They're making too much money out of the poor victims.

I’ve seen several Jane Fonda movies. She’s made some good movies and I wish her well but I don’t admire her as a person. She did our military wrong during the Vietnam war.

I read about her cancer. Very sad for anyone to face. I wish her the best even though I never supported her beliefs.

I have seen 9 to 5. :) I am sorry that she is again battling cancer. But it is nice that a celebrity of her stature announces to the world that cancer is 80 percent treatable. We can die of many other diseases. It is not as if people are really terrified of dying. Otherwise why would they not wear masks and use sanitizers or resist taking those vaccines? Nah...that is a notion. Cancer is less fearsome than covid.

I agree with you. Where l am, Covid is still being diagnosed every day and there are at least 2 deaths every day, yet most people have cast aside their masks and are partying like crazy.

If I were going to write one statement about Jane Fonda, I would have to say: "She's a fighter!"

I have read that she is treated because of Lymphoma, I hope she can survive, as she is no more young. I remember Barbarella, that was a pretty silly movie, others I watched "9 to 5", Klute, Barefoot in the Park, The China Syndrome, The Butler (she played Nancy Reagan).

I heard of this recently. It's a shame that she has to battle cancer, but at least it's treatable. Such a horrible disease.
