It's Friday Everyone!! are you like me and happy when the weekend rolls around? It's really weird because I'm retired and every day is kind of like the weekend for me but I guess it stems from all the years when I was working and when Friday rolled around it was like "yay the weekend is almost here" I don't have any specific plans for the weekend but my granddaughter has a small break from college and is coming home. I know I'll see her at some point and I can't wait to hear about how things are going with her studies, college life etc. Yesterday we had rain all day with torrential downpours at times. We needed the rain but it certainly was a dismal day. Today the sun is shining and the sky is blue. I took chicken out to defrost for dinner and now the big decision is how to prepare it. I'm thinking of putting it in the slow-cooker with a can of broccoli cheddar soup and adding extra broccoli. A side of rice would be perfect. Can't say there's much going on here but everything is good so I have no complaints. I get up every morning feeling blessed that I get to see another day

You are so right feeling blessed to see another day. I also keep a positive attitude and when the sun shines it is always a wonderful day.

I am retired and feel the weekend is different too. I hope you have a lovely visit with your granddaughter. Your dinner sounds delicious. What time should I be there? :-D Have a good weekend.

Yes, I am excited about Sunday. I am tired of working rigorously for a whole week. I have to go to my in-law's home tomorrow for some work.

Sounds like a nice family reunion of sorts, enjoy! I'm retired too, and yes, feel blessed, to wake up plus enjoy Friday yet... residue from working. I can still eat in 20 minutes, yet. My weekend, weather permitting, Walmart. Meds and other in necessities to get.

I feel the good vibration from your post and it is invigorating! Thank you so much! It is interesting for me because I work from home and I lose track of the days. For instance, this last Wednesday was a huge holiday in Brazil, but I just forgot about it and went online for work and no one was on. I felt a bit strange and when I realized, it was because of the holiday! Even though I can feel some vibes when it is Friday and Saturday is just about to get home and make us feel comfortable. Let's see how this weekend will be as today is my turn to be with my mother-in-law in hospital as she can't be alone. Wish you a lovely Saturday, full of good vibrations as well!

Oh gosh that reminds me I really need to get a tray of chicken in my fridge cut up and marinated. I hope I can remember to do this tomorrow as I’m to tired to do it now. I hope you have a nice time when you get to see your granddaughter.

As you say, when you're retired most days are a bit the same but, at weekends, any loved ones that aren't retired are a bit easier to catch up with or you can ring without feeling you're imposing on them at work.

The weekend is seldom different from the week so it all kinda runs together.

Days tend to run together for me. I am a night person and so my days get mixed up. For me retirement lets each day be an adventure. Usually on here or doing something zany with my kids. Rain can be dismal but I enjoy a good rain. Always smells so good after.

Now that I´m retired, my smiles don´t depend of the day of the week. But today my youngest daughter will come for a small visit and I´m smiling I have dentist and therapy on Monday and Tuesday so there´s nothing to smile about. But I have other sources of happiness nearby.

I don't know it's the weekend anymore unless someone mentions it to me. No real reason for me to know it's the weekend. I hope you're enjoying your day and will enjoy the weekend.

Every Friday I feel that way, but not this one, because tomorrow there will be office as usual before the long Diwali holidays in the next week.
