Wherever you are in this wonderful world, I hope you are having a fantastic Friday! I just realized that I'm going to be a bachelor this weekend, as my girlfriend is in Texas visiting family and my daughter left today to drive to south Florida to visit her grandparents. That means I've got the whole place to myself this weekend. Hmm...I wonder what kind of trouble I can get myself into?
Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I really have no plans to do anything wild or crazy. I'm thinking of heading over to Bass Pro Shop this evening because Flannel Fest has started, and I could use a couple more flannel shirts. After that, the sky's the limit.
What do you have planned this evening or this weekend? Anything fun or exciting?

My friend is coming down this weekend, we are going to check out a brand spanking new Mexican restuarant in the area. I guess it is your weekend to do things the ladies would't approve of.

Mexican sounds good. I was just thinking about grabbing something to eat while I'm out shopping at Bass Pro Shops, but not quite sure what I'm in the mood for. There's about 718 restaurants in the vicinity of Bass Pro, so I shouldn't have trouble getting food once I decide what I want.
When you say "do things the ladies wouldn't approve of" do you mean sit around the house in my underwear and fart a lot?

Well, I am on my own with hubby in hospital. Friday after work I went and worked at my sister's house. Then I learned that they had taken the covid restrictions of of hubby and I could go see him. This is Saturday, and that is what I did.

We're cleaning up the fallen walnuts out of our yard and dumping them into the culvert so the forest animals that wander through there can get them without worrying about the dog next door.

@moffittjc Nah... black walnuts are okay but not for the amount of work needed to get the goodie out of the nut. I prefer pecans.

We played in a tournament last weekend, and of course we do have practice on Sunday like we always do, but other than that no special paintball adventures. I aggravated my knee again last weekend, so I'm going to try to go easy on myself this weekend at practice (but nothing is off limits if I get myself involved in crazy antics tonight).

I just realized the Tampa Bay Lightning play the Florida Panthers tonight in NHL hockey. After Bass Pro, I may call up a few buddies and have them meet me at a sports bar to watch the game.
I have a lot of favorite teams in various sports who did not do well last weekend or this week. I'll be excited if any one of my teams gets a W this weekend.

@popciclecold I was about to give up all hope of a win for my Lightning last night, but they came back at the end of the game to tie the score, and then won in overtime. It was a great start to my weekend to see my boys pick up the W.

I'm hoping to finish the macrame wall hanging I've been working on for months. I had it put up but now on the wall so I can work on it. Seems like I'll be done and think of something else to do to it. It's eclectic and boho. Normally, I do the same boring knots. I've changed it up some. My daughter likes it. Other than that, maybe sand on the end table I brought home for a project.

@moffittjc Kind of. I began working on the hanging again and adding more changes. I call my piece erratica. It's out of the norm. I tried to take it easy most the day since I've been achy. Did a bit of dancing, make up sugar free pumpkin pie oats for the crock pot (so I can't sleep smelling it all night

@JudyEv Funny enough, we do have Fall cleaning here, but I think we still call it Spring cleaning. haha
But I'm with you, we probably shouldn't talk about it, because then we might end up doing some cleaning neither one of us wants to do.

@moffittjc Phew! Aren't you just very lucky that there isn't such a thing as 'fall cleaning'? lol And now I'd better shut up as it's spring here and there is nooooo way I want to do any cleaning, spring or otherwise.

@moffittjc I remember an older guy saying once when I mentioned as we get older we do less stupid stuff. He said it is because we get to a point where we know better. I am not sure if that is ALWAYS true. But maybe we are just a bit more careful when we DO do stupid stuff? lol

@just4him I went through the same thing with my bouts of Covid. I even cheated and snuck out of the house and went and sat in the sun in a local park (isolating myself from everyone else of course) just so I wouldn't go crazy sitting in the house. And it was quite the chore to do so, considering how weak I was and how much it hurt to move. But I felt it was important for my mental well-being.

It's nice to see you again, Jeff! I'm glad you'll be getting more flannel shirts, check out your Bass Pro Shop ... that's good trouble to get into while your girlfriend, daughter are away. Skip and I are finally on sort of an even keel ... that means the world as we have experienced so much for the past few years. I'm appreciative of all! Take care! I wanted to speak to you when I saw your name here. I just came back after so long ... yesterday. It feels like 'home', I'm glad to be back, see familiar names.

Good to have you back! Hope you continue to be very active here (and in all other areas of life). I didn't end up buying any new flannel shirts, as most of what they offered I already have. But it was fun to get out and visit Bass Pro. I always spend hours in that store!
