Illness is often a sign that there are needs you are not taking care of. Sometimes your body gets sick so that you are forced to slow down and become aware of the messages of your heart and the desires of your spirit. Only when you step outside from the daily treadmill, can you attune to these more subtle inner callings. Don’t wait to get sick before listening to these important inner messages. ~~ Well, I've been slowing down and pacing myself for 26 years and I am still sick with chronic and pain and fatigue. Got off the treadmill due to arthritis and gained weight. I'm doing all I can but there is no cure so I'm not geting any better.

I am so sorry you aren’t feeling well. I stopped lifting weights and riding the stationary bile because I began to feel bad and weaker. I think I’m doing better but not as well as I was before. I think I was using too much energy on exercise. I still walk but that’s all for now. Have you been working too hard or exercising too much?

My doctor advised me off walking on the treadmill when I developed arthritis in my knees. I have been using a twister board to get exercise in and close my rings on my apple phone. I keep saying I'm going to start on the treadmill again but being in the basement just isn't appealing anymore. I may still be having long term fatigue from Covid.

@RubyHawk I have to do some walking. I would probably slow down and spend less time on there. The twister has really minimized my waist, the intermittent fast shrunk my muffin top, now I need to work on the abdominal area... sweat that fat off. I've tried crunches but that causes my hip flexors to flare with pain. I know when my knees are bothering me (it's going to rain, it's raining) and I take it easy during those time (which is basically this time of year).

@patgalca Don’t walk the treadmill if your doctor advised against it. He knows what’s best for you.

After many stresses in my life my body said, 'take a break'. Unfortunately the break of fibromyalgia is permanent.
