C7 Injury and some Christmas Kindness

Hello Everyone! Advance Merry Christmas! Today I have experienced some Christmas kindness and I want to share it to you. Couple of weeks ago I discovered that the pins and needles I keep feeling on wee hours of the morning is actually a result of a C7 spine injury. Nursing is after all an extreme sports. I have been seeing a chiropractor to help me recover from it. Today I had a session with one before the year ends. Unfortunately, the bus did not come on time and both Uber and Bolt do not want to accept my ride request and so I ended up missing it. I still went to my chiropractor as I was hoping they could squeeze me in for another session and also to settle my account for the missed one. The secretary probably saw my teary face as I really struggled to get this day off to get my back fixed and I will be working straight 4 days of 12 hour shifts from tomorrow to Saturday. I really badly need the fix otherwise I won't survive my shifts. She booked me in for an appointment to another branch and even waived the missed pay saying she will just transfer my appointment over. So what I thought was an expensive and unproductive dissastrous day was turned around due to kindness of a stranger. Managed to have my final chiropractic massage for this year. Hopefully my back can last till the next year appointment.

Oh, that sounds awful. My sis-in-law was a critical care nurse and had to retire on disability because of her back. I hope you can find some relief because back pain is no fun at all.

Yeah I am worried as I am still on my 30s and I already am broken. She must have injured himself turning immobile patients in ICU. Bless her.

I had found some relief but it is starting to be back to square one again. My doctor has upped my medications. The frustrating part is the scan showed it was not so sinister despite my symptoms. My doctor is referring me to their spinal team which he said could take months.

@CarolDM I hope so too. I really just want answers to what this is. As although my MRI is a bit okay, I really don't feel okay.

I am happy to see you too. It seems like I need constant treatment. It heals and comes back after a couple of days at work. Not really great since I do need to make a living. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too. Any New Year's resolution Anna?

@flapiz - With your job this surely is a serious problem. No New Year's resolution, this is something I never did. My niece is pregnant of her second baby, due at the end of January. Happy New Year to you too.
