I hate it when people wear flip flops or sandals when they have those bulky white socks on. That is a bad fashion trend.

I do not wear socks no matter the season. I want my feet to breathe. Besides, I sleep under a down blanket so it keeps my feet warm.

@porwest Ah, you lived in San Diego? I am in L.A. Our winters aren't super cold, so folks not from CA may think it's nice. But if you're not used to our summers, it can be super hot! No socks then

I would imagine both summers and winters are nice there. It has been many, many years, but when I once lived in San Diego I don't remember being cold much.

@porwest I would also feel miserable should I had cold feet, but I do not feel too much the cold. My husband sleeps with his socks on, he feels a lot the cold.

I normally don't wear socks to bed. However there are certain times during December and January when the Mercury drops to Max-Min of something like 14-5 C or 12 - 2 C. My feet also feels cold. So I wear socks when sleeping. Thankfully, there are not too many such days. Scientifically, I have heard that wearing socks to bed is not recommended because it curbs air circulation. Yet I am not 100 % sure about that!

@porwest No, I'm saying I'm always too hot and Pretty is always too cold. So she makes me keep the temp in the house set at 73F all the time or she'll set up electric heaters every time she comes out of her room. We can't afford to pay for that. It's cheaper for me to be too hot.

@porwest My covers keep me toasty so I don't need socks. The only time I wear socks to bed is for my nap. I refuse to take those compression socks off and put them back on again.

I tend to go without socks to bed all year round. Honestly, I go without socks a lot throughout the day as well. In the summer, I am barefooted most of the time.

Same here. In the summer it is socks off for me and in the winter it is socks on. I just can't stand having cold feet. Makes my whole body chill to the bone.
