Hope 2023 will be better

Spent this first day of the year at home with my family, my parents joined us as well as my aunt, uncle and my cousin's family. It was a good day, I am happy when I have them in my house.
2022 wasn't a good year to the world and to my family it was a very sad year, I lost two uncles, both in their 60s. My father is still recovering from the loss of his brother, they were very close.
Hope this new year will be a better one for us all, hope it brings peace to the world and end this terrible war.
The weather was awful, it rained very hard in the afternoon but it wasn't too cold.

I did some cooking and then went to bed this morning. I've been awake since about 5 this afternoon. I'll be on and off myLot until early morning tomorrow.
We had sprinkles off and on today and storms are in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. (It was 65F/18C today and is supposed to reach 72F/22C tomorrow.)

I am so sorry to hear of your two uncles Maunela. so very sad Rest in peace.
This year will surely be better for you and family.
My first day of this year you would not believe Manuela. I will leave it at that..it is not pleasant. But I will make it thanks.

As a family, we spent our first day of January 2023 at the beach. We did have some fun, eat hearty leftover foods from New Year's Eve. We really did enjoy.

Happy New Year! I, too, hope 2023 is better than 2022. I didn’t necessarily have a bad year, but it was just mediocre considering we were all cautiously moving forward from the pandemic years.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your two uncles. I hope this year brings you peace, prosperity, love and laughter.
I spent New Years Day at my favorite place…Disney World!

@nela13 I do consider myself lucky for living so close to Disney. Honestly, I wouldn't mind buying a house right next to Disney so I could go to the theme parks every day, but homes are way overpriced in that area. I have friends who live 5 or 10 minutes away from Disney, and I get envious when they visit every day and post all of the photos on social media.

2022 was an awful year and I'm so sorry it wasn't the best you and your family personally. I truly hope 2023 will be so much better for you and your family.

Your decorating looks lovely. I'm sorry 22 was a hard year and I hope 23 will be so much kinder to you and your family. Here momma and I tried a new restaurant and had a nice meal.
