I had a strange experience this morning. I put a link sausage in the microwave to cook, and it started making the strangest noises. This sausage was in a casing, and maybe the meat was trying to escape or something. I thought it was the plate at first since it was a standard one, so I changed that and it was still happening. Well bottom line it did get cooked despite the strange and creepy noises it was emitting.

I never cooked a sausage in the microwave, but I can understand why they make weird sounds.

I don't know much about microwaves as I don't have one but could it be that your microwave has a problem?

No! it was what I was cooking. Why the heck don't you have a microwave? They are perfect for single people making food for themselves.

I'm not sure that I would want to eat meat that spoke to me.

It was a bit unnerving. It was the casing though I think.

Maybe the skin should be pricked to get the steam escape. There are a few creepy noises in this house too but at least the microwave behaves - so far.

Don't you just love it when your food talks to you or talks back? I have cooked a few things that squealed and hissed and they spit. Now I have to clean the microwave oven. lol

I have never tried sausages in the microwave so not experienced this. May be they were having a good time in the freezer and did not like the heat in the oven

It doesn't make that noise with polish sausages. I think it was just the casings on these.

You have to pierce the sausage first

Perhaps it is the oil in the sausage escaping.

Could be, but I thought it was the casing
