In order to end the day, allow me to share this fact regarding a new strawberry variety. The farmers are planning to grow Snow-White strawberries, which are the favorite to buy by visitors who frequent visit the city of Baguio, Philippines.
The Chuga and Sweet Charlie strawberry kinds, which the strawberry farmers had previously employed to produce strawberries with pink as the predominant fruit color when ripe, are being considered for replacement by the city administration and the strawberry growers, respectively.
When compared to the fruits of the Chuga and Sweet Charlie types, the Snow White variety's fruit is believed to be significantly sweeter and more juicy.
Does your place have this particular strawberry variety?

I think, but am not positive, that we have a different type of white strawberry here called "pineberries". They are crossbred from a strawberry native to North America and one native to Chile. They supposedly taste like pineapples.
I've never tried them because I don't like the taste of pineapples.

We had these available off and on last spring and summer, however the price for them was just wild. My son in law had to try them so he purchased a small container of them for us to try. They were very good, but for the price, I would just go with regular strawberries.

@MarieCoyle Small packs of them were for sale here but they didn't seem to sell very well. Mostly people like your son in law just wanting to try them.

@DaddyEvil It is my first time that I heard about pineberries, but I would like to try some. I will try to check how does it look like on the Internet later.

They aren't the same as the ones sold here although they look exactly the same. White strawberries or pineberries sold her taste like pineapples.

Apparently, there are two different types of white strawberries now. The ones Shavkat is talking about taste like strawberries. The ones we have in my part of the US look exactly like the picture shown here but are a blend of wild North American strawberries and a Chilean strawberry. Supposedly, the ones grown her taste just like pineapples.

They looked like they are not yet ripe. We do not have those in here since the climate is just not suitable for them since I know they grow well in colder regions. But I know back in my province in Bicol where they were able to grow strawberries despite the temperate climate we have in our province. I do not know what kind of variety they are using there.

@ShavkatWell, Mt. Mayon, which is really spectacular to view, is the sole noteworthy feature in my area. When I get there, even I find myself entranced.

In my region, strawberries are red in color. I haven´t seen any other varieties at stores yet. I guess, sooner or later, white strawberries will be introduced in the market
