17 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been good from start to finish.
I'm thankful for the eight hours of sleep I got. I went to bed exhausted last night, with Ibuprofen for my rib. I got up at 5 AM this morning. Now that's sleeping in.
I'm thankful my rib didn't hurt as much today. Most likely because of the Ibuprofen.
I'm thankful for the Bible study I did in preparation for Sunday. My pastor asked me to teach on Daniel. This isn't the simple devotion I did on Daniel a couple of years ago.
I'm thankful for the steps I got so far today. I'll get the rest of them soon. I have 1200 steps to get my 8000-step quota.
I'm thankful I went to see Avatar: Way of Water with a friend from here. It was a phenomenal movie and will be an Oscar contender. My review:
If you've seen the first Avatar, you know the bad guys left to go back to planet earth at the end of the movie. They're back with a vengeance. The evil guy wants to kill Jake and will do whatever it takes to do so. I will only tell you Jake has a family now - four children. One of the four they adopted, belonged to Grace.
As for the graphics, phenomenal. Storyline - phenomenal. It's a James Cameron movie, so you know it's good. I totally recommend this movie if you haven't seen it.
Okay, that's what I'm thankful for today. I'm going to get the rest of my steps now. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Expectation.
Oh, I'm also thankful because we're expecting snow tonight. They don't know how much, but it's between 4-8 inches.

That's good to hear you had a good day and enjoyed the movie. I haven't seen the first one. Wow, 4 to 8 inches is a lot. I would be glad to see no more this winter lol

Did I miss something? What happened to your rib? I thought the movie looked outrageous due to the graphics and such. I hope it drops somewhere soon. I have the first one saved in the DVR so I can watch them together.
I am thankful for the sunshine and blue skies we had here earlier. It was enjoyable.

@just4him .......Oh, ouch! I do such things sometimes too. Stretches areas that don't want to stretch. This is why I like Yoga. It stretches the body in such a nice way. Makes us limber.

@celticeagle I know how fragile my ribs are and do my best not to compromise them, but then even the slightest move can cause intense pain.

Your picture makes me nostalgic for the winters I had growing up in Pennsylvania.
It was a good day, wasn't it? I got a bit more rest last night, which I think helped me a lot.

@just4him Which part of California were you in? I'm close enough to snowy areas here that I could drive to see the snow if I wanted to, but it requires a bit of planning and luck with timing.

It's a bit late, and I've been out of the habit of posting this late. But, I'm thankful that I'm as prepared as I can be for our first staycation since my husband's been retired. One we planned around the weather and upcoming local events. We want to get it in before the crazies flood the place.

I am glad you aren't hurting as bad with your rib.
I am glad you enjoyed the movie. We haven't watched the first one, I need to look it up and watch it.
I am thankful for the Chinese lunch we had with Mike's mom today. It was nice to spend some time with her and enjoy some food. It was an earlier birthday lunch for me.

You should find the movie on Disney. I know they took it off when it was back in the theater prior to the second one coming out. I'm sure I've seen it back there again.
Thank you. It's doing well so far today too. Ibuprofen is wonderful.
