It is only after I discovered that I had ARMD (Age Related Macular Degeneration) in one of my eyes that I came to know of this supplement Lutein that is good for the eyes I am now taking it regularly and must say although the eye has the issue it has not deteriorated and in fact I do not even wear glasses now for reading and long distance.
There are foods that contain Lutein such as greens, carrots and beetroots. I eat a piece of boiled beetroot every day
What do you do to take care of your eyes?

@allknowing If the supplement works well, then for sure it would be good to take them. I wonder if that helps with eye health in general?

But a supplement when one has the issue takes care of it faster than food would - just my opinion

You can still do a test Close one eye and then the other and if you find no issue then all is well. That is how I found out rather accidentally. I closed one eye and the open eye saw the window rods shaky. But when both eyes were open all was well.

I feel protected taking the capsules as I cannot depend on foods that contain Lutein

@allknowing - I would like to have something to protect me from glaucoma, unfortunately there is nothing that works for this.

@allknowing I'm diabetic and it’s to help keep blood sugar in check. It has other health benefits too. I have Nystagmus and I’m legally blind. I’ve had it my whole life.

Any coloured vegetable or fruit are good for the eyes. I take homemade fruit juice which contains beetroot and carrots and green vegetables almost every day.

Speaking of Lutein, I used to take Lutein supplements. Its been a while so maybe I'll start taking it again soon. What I'm taking everyday is multivitamins and mineral supplement.

@allknowing I remember it containing Retinol. I don't take supplements unless my doctor recommends.
