A trip to Bosnia

Good day friends
During the night, the rain turned to snow and today we had snow for the first time this winter. Now it will soon be 4 pm and the snow has melted, so now there is water and mud everywhere. Now my son and I will go to town to buy something for the people we are visiting tomorrow.
I am going with my mother and son to Bosnia, my mother was born there, but we are going to the family that took her in when she was little. Because her mother died when she and her sister were born, and her father didn't want to take care of them. The family my mom grew up in is truly wonderful and we experience them as if we were family.
The road is long, it will take us about 3 hours to drive, but that won't be a problem because my son and I like to drive. We're going in the morning, around 9 am, and we'll be back in the evening.

@Nevena83 I'm not planning to travel noe;but within a moth I'll have to travel to some cities.I highly appreciate the family your mother was grown up it.They are good and kind people.

Have a safe and wonderful trip visiting your family. They sound like such loving and wonderful people to have raised your mother after that sad experience.
As fate would have it, yes, we are flying back to Connecticut on Sunday for about 8 -9 days.

Pretty and I still haven't driven to the store for groceries... We meant to go yesterday but she fell asleep and I didn't want to wake her up.
The store is only five minutes from our house, though.

@Nevena83 Yes, right after I responded on this discussion, Pretty came in and asked if I'd take her.... I asked when she wanted to go and she told me get dressed...

Enjoy your trip to Bosnia and visiting with your family. What a heartwarming story about the family that took in your mom and her sister when they were young.

@Nevena83 that's sad that your mom and her sister were separated. Your mom was lucky to have been taken in by a loving family and I assume she grew up feeling loved?

@Marilynda1225 Yes, but she always felt that she had to work, to give back to that family. And she is very hardworking all her life, but with a lack of emotions.

The family that took in my mom didn't take in her sister. More precisely, their father took them to the market and offered to take the children. One family that had no children took my mom's sister and another family took my mom. They grew up separately and didn't know about each other until they were 11, but they were never too close.

That sounds like it will be a good trip. I am probably going to travel to the Northern part of the state tomorrow to see friends. I have been wanting to go since Christmas.

I no longer believe in it when it's safe. Or they threaten with a virus or war, terrorism. I don't think anywhere is safe anymore.
