Coffee and Some Chatting

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a beautiful sunny day here today and it actually looks like nice week ahead. Temperatures are decent and I'm always happy when there's no snow in the forecast. I had a busy weekend. Saturday my son and his family came for visit and we finalized the plans for him taking out the bathtub in the upstairs bathroom and replacing it with a shower. He said he'll start the work on March 1st. I'm sure my daughter will be happier with the shower instead of having to step in and out of the bathtub for her showers. While they were here we ordered Chinese food for lunch and found out that they messed up most of the order. Some of it was right and some wasn't. No one wanted to go back and have them fix it so we just ate what we got even though it wasn't what we ordered. Yesterday I made a beef stew for dinner which was delicious. Didn't watch any of the Superbowl except for the last 2 minutes or so when I saw the Chiefs win. Neither my daughter nor I had any interest in watching so we started a new show called Fire Country which turned out really good. We only watched 2 episodes so far but there's probably a whole season for us to catch up on. Today is just a regular Monday. Laundry in the wash and the usual stuff to do. it's breakfast time for me and of course I need to have another cup of coffee

It should be worth the inconvenience and the mess

@Marilynda1225 And speaking of messes, the carpenters were just here and will be back later to begin the sheetrock mess in our bathroom ceiling. There goes my peaceful day!

Replacing the tub for a shower sounds good. I always debated on that but have a baby again so I’m glad I didn’t do that. Chinese food is so good but what a bummer on how much was wrong . The only part of the superbowl I watched was the music at the beginning and the halftime show that Rheanna did.

You definitely need a tub when you have small children. We managed with the Chinese food. Just disappointed and it wasn't as good as it usually is I saw some highlights of Rhianna doing the halftime show

Sounds like a good weekend. I would so love to get a bathroom make over. The problem is I would need one with a bathtub though as I love baths. I thought about just getting the second bathroom with one of those new fangled shower stalls, but that isn't the bathroom I use..so it would be kind of a waste. Other wise I would have to just take my clothes with me..because of course I would want to shower there, if got it done.

@snowy22315 I get really caught up watching HGTV and any kind of kitchen and bathroom remodels. Those bath remodel commercials get me too.

I wouldn't remove the big tub I have in my master suite but the one we're replacing is the one in the upstairs hallway which is the one my daughter uses. I wouldn't want to have to travel down the hallway to shower either.

I'll be having my 5th cup pretty soon, it's too cold not to drink something hot.

It sounds like you enjoyed your weekend. I'm glad you're getting some nice weather now. It's still chilly today but we're supposed to have some warmer weather mixed with rain for the next few days. I am getting a little tired of rain again but the warm weather sound lovely. I hope you enjoy your day.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah but at least it hasn't actually flooded here yet... I'm worried about the weather in March and April since February has been so nice.

Seems like rainy weather has been hanging around your area. We're going to have some spring like days this week with 60 degrees. I hope March doesn't bombard us with blizzards

I'm glad you had a good weekend. It sounds like some excitement with the change happening in the bathroom. I didn't watch the Super Bowl either. I went to bed early. I'm sorry they messed up your Chinese order. Have a good rest of your day.

I need to replace both of the tubs here at the house. At least one will be a shower. Good your son can do it for you.

We do not have a bath tub and even while on holidays abroad I preferred a shower to the bath tub.

You did have a really great weekend. The renovation sounds exciting, well, more like the end result sounds exciting-who wouldn't want a nice new bathroom? Tuesday is laundry day here.

I'm excited about the new bathroom and at least the mess will be contained to upstairs and I can stay downstairs all day.

I'm also considering replacing the bathtub with a shower. As I'm getting old, I don't want to step in and out of the bathtub.

I agree that as we get older it gets harder and harder to step in and out of the tub. My main concern has always been slipping and falling. The bathroom we're doing is the one my daughter uses and she never uses the tub for baths so this will be easy for her.

If your daughter used the bath tub as a shower, I am sure that she will be a lot happier with a real shower. We stayed at home the weekend, it was still too cold to go out.

I want to take out a spa tube and expand a shower in the master bathroom. Hopefully this year I can get that done.

@Marilynda1225 I can understand about the snow. I hate snow and so glad when we do not get it each winter in Jerusalem. It is so nice that your son can help you out. I would prefer a shower too. I am sorry that the Chinese food got messed up. I would just eat what I got too and not go back. Beef stew sounds really good. So, is it a let down with all the excitement you had the day before?

It's a gloomy day here today, but the forecast is for nice days. It's definitely easier to learn in the shower. I need to renovate the bathroom, but it's a big investment for now and I don't know when I'll be able to do it.
