Crazy day yesterday. Tennis in the morning, lunch at the beach, a slip for me on a pebble, but hubs yanked me up before I could fall (good that we hold hands), and a Super Bowl party at our clubhouse.
Today I intend to relax on the lanai, work on notifications, and finish a book while munching on one of two boxes of chocolate hubs just bought for me. Nope, they are not Valentine’s Day gifts.
You won’t see me tomorrow. We are taking our friends to the airport for a very early flight. Afterwards, hubs wants to go out for breakfast, and then a trip to a jewelry shop in town. I wonder why?
I also need to drop off a handbag for repair at a leather shop.
I decided to make a prime rib for our Valentine’s Day dinner. I don’t enjoy going out anymore because of crowds and substandard food and service.
So back to notifications, my sunshine, 72 degrees weather, and thinking of when to make a nail appointment.
I took this photo Friday. My nails look worse today.

Hubs bought me a diamond and emerald ring set in platinum with all perfect emeralds and perfect diamonds when we first got to Florida this year only because he loved it. We were only there to have new batteries put into our watches. I told him that that can be my Valentine's Day gift, but he won't hear of it
He wants to go back to that shop and who am I to argue????
I'm reading The Memorist by M.J. Rose which we borrowed from our clubhouse. Not the best read, but I do recommend After Anna by Lisa Scottoline. It was awesome!

@DianneN Cool, I will see if the library has that. I do 99 percent of my reading on the Kindle, but I would make an exception or a really good book.

He's the best, and I know how fortunate I am.
Oh, my! I'm embarrassed to say that he bought me two beautiful pieces of jewelry, but insisted that one is for Valentine's Day and the other for Mother's Day. He tried to include my birthday in June, but I talked him out of that

The View in the picture looks awesome!
Even I do not like going to Crowded places on special days like Birthdays etc.
However as we mostly get time for many things on the weekends, many a times we cannot avoid rush.
So did you had a lot of folks at the Super Bowl party?
It's nice to check out on one of your posts after a long time.

Many thanks. I have returned to myLot in January after being away for so long and appreciate your stopping by.
The Super Bowl party had less people than usual due to people not liking the 2 teams playing. But those that were there had fun talking and eating

Love your view. I'm glad you didn't take a tumble. You'll have to let us know what hubs bought for you. 72 degrees is heavenly! We should get that this week. This winter has been weird.

72 is amazing for Ohio. It's been crazy weather in Connecticut, too.

What's wrong with your nails? They look great to me.
It sounds like a busy day tomorrow. Prime rib sounds great for a Valentine's Day dinner.
Enjoy your book and the sunshine. We might break records here at 45. It's 44 right now on my computer and on the weather site. I expect it will break records as it's that close. Lots of sunshine too.

It was much nicer celebrating Valentine's Day at home.
My son's girlfriend saw this color on my toes and chose the same one. lol
Thanks. I didn't show the other foot, because my big toe had the polish scraped off when I tripped on that pebble.
