Got the new carpet installed

I'm so pleased to have new carpet. It's a nice shade of gray and goes well with the freshly painted while and pale blue walls. I think we're caught up for the most part with a few remodels. Next on the list is a new couch. We want another two recliner sofa, but I'd love to have something different than leather...it's too cold in the winter. Dale's done the majority of the work, except for the carpet, of course. I've been the resident gofer when he's not telling me to rest, don't lift anything heavy, take it easy, etc. I have my three month session of Botox injections for migraines tomorrow. The next day we see the Oncologist to decide on a schedule of treatments. I'm thankful that I don't need any more surgeries, hopefully. Friends are still bringing dishes for supper. That is so kind of them and we don't need to cook or eat out as much. Plus most of them are good cooks! I hope you all are well and warm (or cool) and happy. Praise be to God!

I'm glad most of them are good cooks. I'd hate to think of you throwing something out because the person wasn't very good in the kitchen. Remember, "It's the thought that counts." and the trashcan is always able to "enjoy" something you didn't.

Yeah, some are better cooks than others, but we always truly appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness.

@DaddyEvil The only thing my trash can has enjoyed was the last of the collards a friend brought. Dale loved them, but they sure do stink up the kitchen.

I hope you are taking it easy and getting lots of rest. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I hope you don't need any more surgeries either. It's wonderful that friends are bringing you food. Gives you less to think about and do. Take care and keep us posted!

I need to be sure there's no conflict with these botox injections for migraines and starting cancer treatments. I sure hope not. I really don't want to have bad migraines along with all this other stuff.

@1creekgirl It's surprising sometimes how people come through for you when the going gets tough.

That is great your friends are helping you out. Tell Dale you aren't going to wear yourself out, but it makes you feel better to help some.

Changing things around the house is such a good idea, it is better than moving and you get a sense of fresh beginnings which I am sure we all need from time to time. You have lots of caring friends a good husband and prepared meals. Much to praise God for!

Let me start bys aying I hope your migraines stay away. You have enough going on without getting a migraine. Your new carpet sounds so pretty. I have a new carpet on my list at some point. I need the upstairs hallway painted and then we'll replace the carpet there and up the stairs. I'm also thinking of gray.

I am glad you got your new carpet and that you are satisfied with it. It sounds pretty. I'm glad that you are able to help Dale with what needs to be done. Botox won't interfere with any chemo or radiation treatments? That is great. I know when our friend and Mike's dad had to go through their treatments if they had anything change in medicine they were to talk with the oncologist first. Dad in law decided he was going to take his vitamins one time and it pushed his treatments back a week. Mom moved all medicine away from where she had kept them so he wouldn't do anything silly like that again.

Thank you for that info. I'll talk to the FNP today to see if the injections could have any effect on treatments. And I'll call the Oncologist first to be sure.

I think about a new carpet, on occasion, but haven't done anything about it. I quite fancy a dark green one
