Ordered breaky then going home. Are my feelings normal?

Thank you for those who have been checking out my random Discussions while I've been away. I wanted to share what was going on and I also wanted to remember this time. I'm sitting here eating breakfast. These baked beans are the best I've ever had! Check out time is 10am. So my dad will be here soon to pick me up. I was thinking before that I want to do something really special for his birthday in April. His gift to me for my birthday was exactly what I needed. He knows that I've been really stressed at home and in much need of just being alone. I really appreciate him for doing this for me. The scary thing is, and this has happened before in the past but most people sit and reminisce their time away, which I do! But I mostly wish I could start the time away all over again. It's like my desire to be completely alone is very powerful and never satisfied and I don't really know how to fix it. Does anyone else get the same feelings? I enjoyed and appreciated every single second away but for some reason, it's never enough for me. Especially lately. I have theories but I don't know the actual reason why I'm like this or why it's getting worse. Not sure if it's because I rarely get time to myself. Or I've never been in a position to have my own place. Or I've been hurt a lot by people. Even though I get lonely often, but can't get hurt if I'm alone. I'm not sure. Anyway thank you kindly for reading. I will most likely go home to bed. And will join you all tonight or tomorrow to clear notifications. ****photo is mine****

I'm glad you've had such a restful time. Have you thought about meditation? I don't practise it but one friend swears by it. It would a small time in a day where you retreat into yourself and be alone. Just a thought.

@JudyEv Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have had this suggested to me and I have thought about it. I don't really know how to do it. But I am sure YouTube can help me with that. Thank you Judy.

@VivaLaDani13 There might be community sessions near you that wouldn't be too expensive. Once you get the idea, you'd be able to carry on by yourself. But YouTube is a great idea too.

@JudyEv I didn't even think about that. I am quite a shy person and get anxiety sometimes when out and about but I know I want to improve this part of me so if ever I feel I can, that is something I'd love to try. Thank you for that suggestion too! I honestly never would have thought about that. There probably are some around that I've never noticed before.

Sugs the BEST part of life after all "WE" have been through in life is our time alone to sort things out & to get our lives back it's not about what other people think or feel it's about YOU! ! ! That's why when we moved into the place we're at that's the 1st thing that came to my mind when I seen the cabin, that it could be my very own place to live & that's what I did. Do I regret it? no cause I could be my own person & do my own thing & get the peace of mind & serenity I always needed but I had NO IDEA it was going to take me down like it did.

@2ndchances24 I agree, having our own place where we can be ourselves and be by ourselves for a bit is just nice.

@2ndchances24 Well I know where you are coming from but with all due respect, this feeling you and I are both talking about is a feeling I've encountered for many years prior to meeting you. I know what it's like to be around people 24/7 and then getting a taste for solitude. So this isn't a new discovery for me.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes it is, that's what I was telling you way back when, & now that you have had a feel of it now you see what I have been talking about.

Your breakfast looks delicious! I hope you enjoy it. Pretty and I both like "alone-time" and we achieve it by closing our bedroom doors. If the door to her bedroom is closed, and I really need to talk to her, I'll ask if she's awake... If she doesn't answer, I don't say anything else or make noise in the house. She does the same if my bedroom door is closed. (I know I've heard her typing after she didn't answer me but she wants time alone and I give it to her. Sometimes I just don't answer when she asks... *shrug*) There are days we hear each other moving around the house but we don't bother each other. If we're both in the kitchen at the same time, we might speak with each other.

@VivaLaDani13 I love baked beans... Thanks... It took a long time of trial and error for us to work out the system we use. But it works for us.

@DaddyEvil I LOVED it so much! Their baked beans were amazing! I admire the system you both have so you can both have space from time to time and both respect each other for it.

There's nothing wrong with wanting alone time, and more and more of it (especially if you rarely get it). You are not abnormal in your thinking at all. I'm sure if you could spend an entire year by yourself at that resort you would do it, and would love it.

I'm a loner at heart . I think it's a bit of all those things. Being with just "me, myself, and I", you can think and feel without the stress from others . . . you are at peace and are completely free to be you. This really was the perfect birthday gift for you . . . I'm glad your dad made it happen .

Sounds like all of those things could be contributing factors. I just can't say that it's one thing. I do know, it's normal and okay to have these feelings. And, being able to make time for yourself will help.

I like to be alone as well. Are you always "on" when around others. Like expected to be busy, happy, listening to toxic or other things that can become overwhelming? That happens to me where I want to be alone for days.

@noni1959 It depends on the day but yes. There is a lot going on but I get overwhelmed hearing or having to talk about it a lot. I also suffer with sensitive hearing and my dad and brother (more my dad) are coughing every single day. Dad coughs due to some tablets he is on. Don't know about my brother but other than that their TVs are quite loud. I often get interrupted sleep or just interrupted in general. I feel like a lot of responsibility is on me for many things because my dad needs my help and my brother is too lazy to help. I could go on. And maybe it sounds silly already. But this is many many years worth of this and yearning for a place of my own and not having a chance to be in that position yet. Instead I live with two males who often just....p*ss me off really.

No, it's not strange to want alone time. I live alone and love it. Still, there are times, even now, when I would love to get away and just forget about everything for a few days. I'm glad you had a wonderful time at the resort.
