Mango juice

Once those mangoes become fully ripe I have plans to make mango juice and jam as well. These mangoes that we have are full of pulp and little fiber and they are sweet. I have made both jam and juice last year but I will have to once again go to YouTube to get the recipes. That is one advantage nowadays that we do not have to write down. I have many recipe books which I had in days gone by when Internet was not present. I hardly refer to them these days What do you do with all recipe books you may have collected over the years. Do you still refer to them?

Mango Juice is also popular in my place especially when it's summertime here where the fruit is in season. As to the jam not as popular but I see commercial ones being sold around. I remember my Grandmother makes mango chutneys. I didn't like the taste back then but then as I grew up I learned to liked it. Now I do not see that recipe and I could not see someone doing that anymore.

@allknowing I missed chutneys and there seems to be no one interested in making them here anymore.

I like mangoes and here it is a mango season. I usually eat mango pieces with added salt and chilli powder. I have never tried mango jam yet. I don't know much about cooking but I love to eat foods different kind of foods.

I check the traditional recipes in my cooking books. You never can trust what you find online.

I have stacks of recipe books that I’ve collected over the years. I have taken some to the free book box, but I’ll keep most of them.

I love anything to do with mangoes.. That's the only reason that I like summer. Even I have recipe books but I have not looked into them in a long run. They are just collecting dusts in one of our kitchen shelves.

When I look at my recipe books they take me back to my newly wedded life. Both of us were interested in cooking.

@allknowing They do bring back nostalgia. I have one book with recipes from my grandmother. The words are blurred after so many years. Anyways I have made them so many times, I don't need a recipe. But it brings back the memory when I would note it down learning from my grandmother

Mangoes are great for drinks or desserts, or snacks. I was never into cooking, so I don't have a list of recipes. But when I'm interested in a dish I share it on Facebook, so my DIL can cook it..

I've not been eating mango juice, but the fresh fruit itself. I actually couldn't drink too much of it because of too much acid on it.

I have a bunch of cookbooks I don't use at all anymore. I do not have the advantage of buying the ingredients I need to make these dishes,

I use my recipe books sometimes but watch youtubes too. I won't be able to taste my garden's ripe mangoes this year as I shall be at Kolkata with my son. I do take mango juice and use them to make fruit chat.
