So now we have a multiple murder at a Sweet Sixteen birthday party in some small town in Alabama. Happily, arrests have been made. Sadly, several teens died, and more than a dozen are wounded.
For those not from America, Alabama is a State associated with Trump supporters, the Ku Klux Klan, slavery, and racial prejudice and separatism in general.
But the stories I've read so far make no mention of the race of the perpretators of the victims. This leads my "conservative" side to believe this was NOT a case of white perpetrators storming a party with mostly black Americans in attendance.
I'll probably go down this wormhole later in the day. I have to head to Guitar Center, and will focus on the peace and love that music brings.
Photo is of a mountain shrine I used to visit while hiking.

No, not a racial thing this time at least, just another mass shooting.

@JamesHxstatic I'd guess that the NRA donates more to Republicans than to Democrats.

I haven't spent much time in the South. I would assume that the racism and separatism have declined somewhat. I was involved in a couple of incidents there that let me know that I wasn't in Kansas (the North) any more. Most of my time in the South recently has involved Atlanta, which is a pretty cosmopolitan city.

@spiderdust It's one of my favorite John Prine songs. I have to admit that there's some truth in what @Vandana7 says. I sometimes like dark but real songs.

I'm really sad to hear that there was yet another violent incident. Just please tell me it's not racist violence. In a society like yours, violence of this kind should not be tolerated. It's a good thing that arrests have already been made since it means that the criminals can't get away and cause additional harm.

I saw the mug shots of the three thugs charged, and they look so mean and hateful. I couldn’t help but think if anyone ever told any of them they were loved or worth something.

It is always tragic when such young people get killed and so senseless, However, the worst was that this was not just one incident there were others in other states. Best of luck at the Guitar Center,

@TheHorse There is something going on in these people's minds that is beyond comprehension.
