My sister is a baker and she gets orders for cakes for all occasions- birthday, weddings, anniversaries, baptisms, baby gender reveals. Her customers are awesome but not all. Yesterday, she was so stressed with a client who said she wanted a cake for her anniversary and that her budget was this much but she wanted a big cake with all the trimmings. How can she give her what she wants when the budget is limited? Which reminds me of the photo above.
What do you think of yourself as a customer?

I would tell the customer to go to the cheap bakery. Not mine.

Your sister should give the customer a price for the cake
Not the customer tell your sister what she can pay for the cake

A customer needs to be realistic. Your sister will have to cut some corners but I am sure her quality will still be great. Your photo is funny.

That client of your sister is very inconsiderate..I never ask for any discounts..If I can't afford it, I won't get it...

As a customer, I am never wrong! Haha
Truthfully, I have worked in retail before and I know how rude and demanding customers can be. So, because of that, I always try my hardest to not be that type of customer.

Whatever is agreed on it must be followed. I understand the predicament of supplier because I'm also one and I am also a customer. If it's already beyond bounce them supplier. can always turn down.

cute photo. My great-aunt was a baker too. She made cakes as a hobby job. She would make me a cake for my birthday for many years. I don't think she ever turned anyone down. I would tell that customer that she needs to find another baker or another design.

Its up to your sister to explain that to her client. You get what you pay for. Its as simple as that. So don't expect a grandiose cake if you could only pay little. Otherwise, find a cheap bakeshop lol.
