I am not a fan of raw fish. But I'm curious and my curiosity got into me so I ate one tonight. Well, it is not so bad. I ad a bite or two. Actually, I might eat it again next time. Do you like to eat sashimi?

I can't eat fish anymore but when I could, I tried sashimi. It was okay but I burped fish for three days afterward... No more for me!

@rakski Since I don't really like fish anyway, it was very awkward for me to keep smelling it.

It really depends on how it is made. I love a California roll.

@rakski Oh, a California roll is what it is called here when an uramaki contains crab, avocado, and cucumber. Sometimes crab salad is substituted for the crab stick, and often the outer layer of rice is sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds or roe.

If I know the place, how the fish has been frozen before serving to kill parasite, I eat and I like.

@rakski - The sushi restaurants cooks should know the procedure, but in too many places they do not freeze the fish at the correct temperature.

It's wonderful to see that you've taken a bold step towards trying something new, especially when it wasn't initially your cup of tea. The adage "variety is the spice of life" holds true, as opening yourself up to new experiences can expand your horizons and broaden your understanding of the world. Speaking of new experiences, I must say that I quite enjoy sashimi myself. The interplay of diverse textures and flavors found in well-prepared sashimi is simply sensational, and it's amazing how the tastes and textures of different fish vary so greatly. It's definitely a culinary adventure that I relish. Nonetheless, I recognize that not everyone is keen on the idea of consuming raw fish, and it's important to acknowledge and honor each person's unique tastes and preferences when it comes to food.:)
