Yay, the Frasier reboot is supposed to be funny, and BTW what is your favorite all time sitcom?

The orignal Frasier was mine, and I have to admit I was skeptical about a reboot, and although the cast won't look the same, the reboot pilot according to those who have seen it, has the wit, charm and flair of the original and the heart as well. They said they got teary eyed during the tribute to John Mahoney (Martin Crane) who died in 2018. Peri Gilpin will be returnng as Roz Doyle on a semi regular basis, and Lilith played by Bebe Neuwirth also returns which makes sense as the show takes place in Boston this time around. Only fair, as Cheers gave us the original Frasier Crane. Needless to say Grammer takes off wth Frasier this time around without missing a beat, and is his same erudite, insufferable, but at the same time laughable and lovable shrink as in Cheers and the original Frasier. I just hope all the best performances aren't in the pilot. Anyway, Frasier "I'm Listening." What is your favorite sitcom of all time?

I never watched Frasier, but I hope the reboot is successful. My favorite sitcom of all time has to be The Golden Girls. I loved every character.

I think it is Hallmark channel they come on every night before Frasier. I record Frasier on the DVR and it records 5 mins of The Golden Girls. too.

@snowy22315 I recorded about 50 episodes of The Golden Girls on my DVR even though I have all 7 seasons on DVD! It would be nice to see another dog on Frasier, maybe in Eddie’s memory.

@AmbiePam Yeah, the dog was cute. That Will Trent show I have seen a few times has a cute dog on it too.

I think it is just called Frasier. The reboot isn't on yet, but is supposed to stream in (I think) don't quote me, Fall of 2023 on Paramount Plus. They have been pretty tight lipped when it is going to roll out, but that is the sense I got.

It was one of my favorite shows in 1964, there really weren't as many shows to choose from back then and the humor was just perfect for the family. So many funny characters on that show.

@RubyHawk Roomie was always watching the old Andy Griffith shows. I like those, but after I had seen the originals over again, that was enough.

MASH was good. The last episode that so many people watched, I was out of town visiting a friend who didn't have a TV. I could have kicked myself! I should have insisted he call up a friend who had one and gone to see it..

Cheers was good I liked the old Mary Tyler Moore show For some reason you never see that in syndication though. She used to be married to a TV exec. Maybe that had something to do with it

@LadyDuck I haven't watched sitcoms from other countries really except when we were on vacay in the UK. I have seen the English version of the office a few times, but it is so slangy, I find alot of those references just going over my head.

My favorite is fuller house. I never watched frasier but, strongly feels it requires any show to maintain a delicate balance between staying true to the original show's spirit while also updating it for modern audiences. Ultimately, only time will tell whether the Frasier reboot will be a success or a disappointment?

You are right about that. Sometimes the first shows of a series are good, and then you kind of lose interest along the way. I can think of a few shows like that. Or maybe after a year or so, it isn't good any more.

Ah, Frasier! It's always exciting to see beloved shows make a comeback. The reboot sounds promising, capturing the essence of the original while adding new elements. It's great to have Peri Gilpin and Bebe Neuwirth back too. As for my favorite sitcom, it's hard to pick just one, but I'm currently loving #Nofilter.

We have our local sitcom. It's Home Along the Riles. It's primarily starred by the late king of comedy, Dolphy.
