Do you have a favorite form of pasta?

Pasta is pretty much the same no matter what shape it is, but is there a type you like more than any other? I like raviolis the best, but I don't have them that often. When I have them, I eat them pretty quickly I guess. I think I like pasta in any format, but certain pasta dishes I like more than others. I am having regular ol spaghetti tonight, although this is the pot shaped spaghetti that is half sized. If you do have a favorite pasta or pasta dish, why do you like it?

I prefer a linguini pasta form, but I like all but angel hair, otherwise. Pesto is my favorite sauce, and I wish I could eat it all the time. I had a shrimp, asparagus, pesto pasta dish before that was probably my favorite. That, or seafood portofino.

@snowy22315 Oh, it was. I remember being in the hospital years and years ago, and a family friend said he’d bring me any dish from any restaurant. I immediately said seafood portofino from The Olive Garden.

There are so many different types to choose from. I like different types for different dishes. Tonight is chicken alfredo with penne noodles, so that is self-explanatory.

Linguini or fettuccini for me. I don't know why I prefer them over macaroni or spaghetti or the rest of the pastas.

Do you prefer the larger or smaller ones? The larger ones are good for stuffed shells, but the smaller ones are good for mac and cheese.

I like both meat and cheese ravioli, I make them at home. There are some shapes of pasta I dislike because the outside tend to overcook when the inside remains still too hard. The egg pasta I like more is fettuccine, the durum wheat pasta penne rigate and maccheroni.

I haven't seen maccheroni in the stores here, but there is an Italian store near where my sister lives. It is huge, and if anybody has it, they would. I thought you would like to see it Anna.

@snowy22315 Thank you for the link, pretty store, the olives are as we have them in all our Italian supermarkets. This is a photo of the cheese sector of the Italian grocery store where I go to buy.

I guess my favorite is elbow macaroni because they are easy to eat and can be eaten in many different ways. I love elbow macaroni, with tuna, and a cheese sauce casserole,

I love macaroni salad, made with boiled eggs and spiral macaroni. Goulash? I like it best with spiral macaroni. I love ravioli, yummy! I don't care for angel hair spaghetti.

I have a form of pasta for every favorite pasta dish. For pasta Salad I use shell pasta, for mac and cheese I use elbow macaroni. For Alfredo I use fettuccine or spaghetti and of course spaghetti or linguine for pasta and meatballs. Lasagna speaks for itself.
