That could cover 2 days worth of meals. So that is a good news in our cost cutting measures. I have my daughter on board with this. We now set our airconditioning at 29 degrees celsius instead of before of 23 degrees celsius. Since it is an inverter series my daughter said it is better to leave it on because it adjusts automatically. The heat these days is so extreme and from what I heard it will only get worse year by year which is alarming. It is such a health hazard because of heat stroke and also very uncomfortable. I believe people are hot headed and altercations are easily provoked as well.

I try to set at 25 or 26 C. Some people try to set between 20 and 22 C at home and office. I don't think that is right if the mercury is nearing or crossing 40 C outside. Greater the difference, greater is the energy consumption. I did not go for an Inverter AC (We have good option from LG brand) because its maintenance and spare cost is higher. You deserve big kudos on Electricity bill reduction. Due to high heat and Humidity, I have to often recharge my Electricity meter and saving is quite tough. Hoping for good monsoon rains in the coming weeks.

Thank you. We are having a downpour today. And yes rainy season is around the corner but August is little summer.

We keep our AC at 23 degrees Celsius, 74 degrees Fahrenheit. 29 is much too warm for us (84 degrees Fahrenheit). I'm glad you will be saving money; but you probably will be uncomfortable.

I read a Singapoeran study that the workers are at their most productive with 28-29 degrees celsius. But of course comfort comes first. Enjoy!

My dad’s electric power company charges you a lower price if you don’t run your air conditioner from 2pm to 8pm, so he never has his air on during the heat of the day, which doesn’t bother him because he is saving money. However, I try never to visit during this time because it is way too hot in his house for me.

@yoalldudes Yes, and he’s weirdly having fun as he makes it a game for himself. (Shaking my head)

I have these little gizmos plugged in which are supposed to reduce your electric power. My bills have been exceedingly low, although I think for the most part it is because I am using little electricity every month, but maybe the devices help a little. I don't really know.
