Good morning from smoky Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Our severe air quality alert is supposed to cancel at noon today and go back to moderate, or yellow instead of red. It's been a while since I saw blue skies.
My plans for today include Canasta at noon, and working on my book, Guns of War. I'm writing again. I've gotten to the endpoint and started the next chapter yesterday before I closed down the computer. That makes me happy. Hopefully, it means I will finish it this time.
I just finished the notifications. It's time to get dressed and eat. I had a late start this morning. I didn't get up until 5:21. You know that's late for me. Though, in my defense, I didn't get to bed until 10:30 last night, so I still had 7 hours of sleep. That's more than usual too.

The smoke from the wildfires isn't making it as far South as my part of Missouri but we have excessive heat warnings until Friday evening. We also have poor air quality from pollen from trees and grass, mold, dust and pet dander. I'm struggling with allergies yesterday and today.
We're staying in the air conditioning so it should be a quiet day here.

Yes, it's bad in Canada. And with the smoke following the jet stream, it can get pretty bad here as it has in the past three days.
Rain would be good, but there is no guarantee it would quench the fires as seen with our last storm a few days ago.

I didn't realize the wildfires were so widespread. No wonder we had smoke yesterday. I hope you enjoyed your Canasta game. Have a good rest of your day.

@LindaOHio Yes, it is. But think about it in a positive way. The fires replenish the earth. The growth that will come from it will be better than what burned down.

Sorry it is still smokey. But the plans for the day sound good I think. I hope they all go well.
Not much going on here, we went to a free lunch that is put on every summer, and later I will watch my grandfather while my grandmother goes to a doctor appointment.

Take it easy in that smoke. We are supposed to be getting some here too, but before it was pretty minimal and I think the same this time. Yesterday it seemed a little hazy but it is brighter today.

The air quality here today is poor (red or orange). It's hazy looking outside but I haven't been outside. Some days you can really smell the smoke.
