Just Another Monday

Happy Monday Everyone! it's partly sunny here this morning and we're back to having thunderstorms in the forecast. So far it looks like the weather can't decide if it wants to be nice or rainy.
Today is a double birthday for two of my best friends. They are my closest friends but they don't know each other. I sent off birthday cards and a small gift for each of them. At our age we really don't need anything but I always enjoy finding something small to acknowledge their special day. The sad part is we don't live anywhere close to each other anymore. If we did, I'm sure we would do lunch or something fun to celebrate.
My daughter just took her coffee break and she isn't in a very good mood. One of her co-workers is off and she has to cover for her and I gather the morning isn't off to a good start. I didn't even want to ask 
Since she's going to have a very busy work day I'm doing the cooking tonight. Still haven't decided what to make yet. Probably will depend on the weather and if I throw something on the grill or inside in the oven.
I've been taking the weekends off from being online and as always they just fly by. Even without having anything going on those two days just disappear. Now I'm going to pour myself a cup of coffee and see what's happening here and what I missed over the weekend.

Here it is 100F for the next few days..no surprise its July.

Well, working at home makes up for a multitude of ills. I made goulash over the weekend so having leftovers tonight, although this is probably the last night. Of course there is more left, but I am goulashed out.

They are very special to me so it was fun finding something to surprise them with. I get great joy out of surprising special people with a little gift.

My daughter used to have the most horrendous commute to work every day (2 hours each way) until she go this job with a company based in CT. Now she gets to work from home and it certainly has its perks.
Yeah, the older i get the faster time flies by too.

We're having a crazy weather day here. One minute the sun is out and the next it looks like the sky is going to open up.

It's a very hot day here. Temperature up to 35C. I just went to the supermarket and got some fresh fruits in the morning. Stay home and turn on the a/c all day.

There isn't much else to do on a really hot day than stay in the a/c. Hope you stay cool and enjoy your day

These days I don't buy presents. I make them. I think I can show my appreciation and love by giving a present that I made with my own hands.
It's sad when we don't live near our friends anymore but it's nice that you still keep in touch.

The days just fly by, busy or not. It must be nice to work from home. I'd like to get a part-time job that I could work just a few hours a week from home. Enjoy your day.

The weather is playing here, too. We went from 20% chance of storms today to 60% chance of storms today... I hope it does rain. It's already 85F in my part of Missouri at 12:30 pm. Rain would, hopefully, drop that temp for a while.

Well it is sad that they arent near to you. but yep it is what it is. just wish them happy birthday.. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THEM FROM ME BTW)
