Finally on our way

Today has been quite the adventure, but the hard part seems to be over. We're finally up in the air, currently halfway across the continent. We're getting home several hours later than we originally expected (and technically on a different day), but we ARE getting home.
The kids have been such patient troopers. I'm so proud of them. I'm really glad that I had some fun surprises (little blind bags that I got at Dollar Tree and FiveBelow) packed away for emergencies; they came in quite handy when they were getting tired and frustrated.
I've brushed my teeth, put on my night cream, and have found a good movie to watch. Have a good night, MyLot. I'll be home soon!

I never sleep very well on planes, especially when I'm trying to keep an eye on kids, but I might try to snag a nap if the little guy falls asleep.

@spiderdust I've never been on a long plane flight so I don't know if I could sleep or not... I know I have to really trust the driver of a car or I can't fall asleep.

Oh thank goodness!! Saw yet another news clip about flight delays and cancellations and thought of you. Hopefully by the time you read this, you will already be home. Mom knows how to plan for kids - your emergency blind bags must've been life saving. Homeward

I am glad you are on your way home and had a good trip. I have been delayed or bumped so many times in the last few years, I know it's frustrating, especially with kids.
