Resuming My "Junk" Journal

I keep a junk journal, which means I use mostly materials that are found or for recycling. There are no rules for it, you use whatever material, format or aesthetic you want. I prefer this format because it's so carefree, I get to re-use materials that would otherwise be tossed, and it's unique to me. I do like the aesthetics of journals with a uniform format, but I don't have a budget for those fancy stickers, papers, and highlighters. I view them for inspiration, but I still end up doing whatever works with whatever materials I have on hand. I would like to think that this also helps our household in recycling and limiting our trash. As I go over my stuff in our office, I noticed that my last journal entry is August 27th. Prior to that, my entry was for August 2nd. I was not able to keep up with it, I admit I wasn't in the mood to write. But now, after being rested somehow settled, I want to resume. My poor journal will now have to jump to September after only 2 pages of August.

This sounds like a good idea a junk journal. I have just started my blog again but it is a pain to do so links not working but I did list YouTube.

Maybe now you’ll get more in the swing of writing again. I like the thought of a genuinely recycled journal.

Maybe, I'll do my best to get back on schedule. And I like the freestyle way of junk journaling.

I always find it hard to keep up with journal writing There are times I just don't feel like doing it, and it doesn't get done.

I also go through the same. Initially I thought to go back and try to keep up, but I just let it go and do it when I feel like writing. One thing I don't need is another set of rules to follow.

I scribble in a journal most nights. I guess its a form of prayer.

That's nice, like a prayer and gratitude nightly thoughts.

@Raine38 True about the gratitude part. And I let go of my daily aggravations when I write in the evening.

@sallypup Maybe I should also time my journal writing at nights, that way the day is over and I have all that transpired during the day.

I guess it is time for me to go back to writing again. I will look for my old journal when I have the time.

It's also therapeutic, and can be your creative outlet at the same time.
