Dark side of dark chocolate

There has been a lot of singing when it comes to dark chocolate. Loads have given up eating milk chocolates and gone in for the dark chocolate even though by all standards the milk chocolate is tastier. I feel for it too and switched over not quite liking what I was eating After all the songs I hear about its goodness forced me to go for it But no one told me that its is rich in calories and I was therefore wondering why I was putting on weight and now I know Did you also know that dark chocolate is loaded with calories and you still eat it?

Yes, definitely. Any kind of chocolate is going to pack on the pounds if one isn’t careful. All the articles I’ve read on dark chocolate being good for you has always cautioned to eat it in small amounts on the occasion we have some.

My oldest girl loves dark chocolate and so do I. We get those tiny little bars with like 50-60 calories in them. One is the limit, so we eat them in tiny nibbles and savor every bite!

Of course. Dark chocolate has more cocoa butter than milk chocolate so has more calories.

The dark chocolate that I eat most people don't like . . . it's 100% cocoa and doesn't have any off the added stuff. The taste takes getting used to - very bitter. That makes one little teeny piece totally enough .

I've always been more fond of dark chocolate than milk chocolate even before they started saying how much better it was than milk chocolate. I rarely eat it so I haven't checked the calories.

I find that if I'm eating good quality dark chocolate I can't eat as much as I would milk chocolate. I can only eat a couple of squares and then I'm satisfied but I could polish off an entire bar of milk chocolate. So, in my case, dark chocolate means I eat less calories overall!

Milk chocolate is by far tastier than the dark chocolate.
