Pink riders raising money for breast cancer

Today we spent several hours taking photos at a Pink Ride for Breast Cancer. I think the money is going to a lady who took part in the ride and is battling breast cancer. The riders all gathered at a central point then rode about six kilometres at a leisurely pace before returning to the ride base. There was a sausage sizzle, a raffle and cupcakes for purchase. We’ve now processed about 300 photos and they are up on the website for riders to purchase if they wish to. We are donating all proceeds to the group. We also had to choose the best pink outfit from the senior and junior riders. As you can see from the photos, some people went all out to get into the ‘pink’ spirit. Upper left is the lady who has cancer. She has no hair at the moment but had long pink plaits attached to her pink hat. The horse also had pink bandages on his legs. She won the adult prize for ‘best dressed’ and the young girl, lower right, won best dressed junior. Her pony had pink streaks in its mane and tail although they don’t show up in the photo.
