Yet another update on the washing machine.

So, today was the day the plumber was supposed to come again.
After Home and Away, at about 2:15pm, I went off to my bedroom to do some reading.
At about 4:15pm I went into the kitchen to get my dinner and the plumber still hadn't come.
When 6:00pm rolled round and he still hadn't turned up, a knew he wasn't coming.
There was a phone call at about 3:00pm, but my Mum told me my step-dad was in the kitchen at the time so didn't manage to get it and my Mum is too slow to get the telephone. So, if that was the plumber, I don't know. And I don't know if whoever it was left a message.
So that's the situation. Still no plumber.
We've got to go to the big Tesco again tomorrow instead of today, because we didn't go today again to wait in for the plumber which was a waste of time again because he didn't turn up again. And this was the second plumber!
I am fed up now. I'm beginning to lose the will. I don't care any more!
Anyway, what have you lot been getting up to?.
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

I am grateful that a handyman arrived this morning to repair water leak outside of the home today. Working on sharing good news stories and completing surveys today.

I'm glad your handyman turned up. I think maybe an alien keeps coming down and abducting our plumbers. That would explain it!
I hope you enjoyed sharing good news stories and completing surveys. I actually managed to complete at least 2 surveys last night and I also managed to claim 2 rewards, one for £10 and one for £4 into my PayPal account!

@sharonelton That’s a very long time to be waiting. I hate it when people don’t turn up when they said they would. It’s happened to me too many times. A quick phone call is all it takes, even if it’s just to say they had to take the rabbit to the vet to get its ears emergency syringed - you know it’s a lie but at least you won’t be sitting in all day when you could be out at Tesco.

@sharonelton If it was he should have called again. I hope the neighbours don’t start to notice your lack of laundered clothes!!

@xFiacre Yes, he should really.
If you mean drying them outside, we dry them in the bathroom on two lots of airers. So the neighbours wouldn't know any different! Unless they got up close to us and smelt our sweaty clothes!

Tell me about it! If no plumber comes before this coming Monday it will be 5 weeks I won't have been able to do any laundry! I hate it when they don't turn up too. This is getting ridiculous! Well, there was that phone call but we don't know who it was. Maybe that was the plumber.

@sharonelton You know it is super easy to connect the washing machine, the work of a couple of minutes! You could do it yourself, what are you waiting for these useless people for?

@Fleura I don't know how many times I've said it but we can't do it ourselves. My Mum and step-dad are pensioners and I'm not strong enough to move a washing machine!

Yep. Two weeks in a row. Two different plumbers. Both no-show. What are the odds?
About 4 weeks ago our washing machine broke down. We got a new washing machine, but needed to get a plumber to disconnect the old one and then connect the new one. The rest you know. (The new washing machine is currently in the garage wrapped up in bubble wrap until it can be connected.)

@sharonelton When we had to move very heavy things, I ordered from Amazon the equipment to "lift and move" without effort. It surely costs less than the plumber.
I give you the link, my husband also had two hernia surgeries, with this furniture lifter you make no effort

It might not be difficult for you, but my step-dad is a pensioner. I don't think he could move the washing machine. He had a hernia years ago, I don't want him getting another one!

Yes, they must! Maybe an emergency occurred, but they could have phoned to let us know if it did and they couldn't come!

Can you not plumb it yourself? The connector pipe is universal.

People keep asking me this. No, we can't. My Mum and step-dad are pensioners, and I'm not strong enough to move the washing machine. We wouldn't know what to do anyway!

Yes, that's absolutely right. And now I've only got 3 pairs of clean knickers left, so the plumber better come soon!
