When does winter start for you?

November has begun. There's a chill in the air in the morning and in the evening. Nights are cool as well. But, I wouldn't say winter has begun in southern Bengal. Well, some will disagree with me. They might assert that winter has fallen already. Some people have begun to wear their sweaters and wrap themselves with shawls. They surely feel cold and that means winter has definitely begun for them . I am person migrated from the colder region of this state and so feel it's not yet winter. Visitors from England, Europe, Canada and US might feel the weather here is just pleasant this time around. The temperature here during the day is 25 to 30 degree Celcius. The sunrays hit hard during the day but it gets cooler after 5pm. Winter may start anytime in the third week of this month. Winter will be with us for about 8 weeks. That's all. When does winter start at your place?

We've been getting temps below 0C during the night but the temps go back up around 15C during the daytime. This is still Fall temps for my part of the US. When the temps stay around 0C all day long, we call that "Winter". It was chilly enough yesterday that I got out long pants, a long sleeved shirt and real shoes instead of jean shorts, tank top and sandals to wear taking my daughter to a doctor appointment.

The official starting day of winter is 21st December here. It is autumn now, the temperature in the morning is 8º C and during the day still from 13º C to 16º C. In December we will go below zero.

That is something that does not exist in my area because we only have two seasons, wet and dry. We do feel a colder breeze from November to February, and the rest of the year is a mix of dry and wet weather.

Those temperatures don't sound a bit cold to me! Actually they would be considered quite warm here. Officially we have three months of winter - June, July and August.
