Another beautiful November day out there. It is great,but we really need rain. I guess we might gets some Friday. I have a mystery shop I think I will try to do tomorrow though or Thursday. We will see. It is a type I have been avoiding because they changed the rules on the audio recorded shops, and I haven't found an audio recorder that that lets me upload it onto the site, but I think I might have one now that will work. Until I try it and make sure it is working, I will not waste my time trying the shop. Anyway, was talking to sis yesterday, nephew started his new job..apparently the company is actually German based..so he will be spending a lot of time on the phone with them. I was telling sis, it would be cool if he got to go there periodically on business. She says she thinks he might eventually.
I once lived in a house off campus when I was in college,and one of the roommates there was actually a German citizen,although raised in the US. I think they spoke German at home. Anyway, he works for a company now(it might even be his) that has offices in both countries..and travels extensively back and forth. He is equally comfortable in both worlds. Anyway, I digress have a great day!

I hope so. In his last job he also had to talk with people in other countries due to the components they were using in their systems. He had to vary his schedule to be able to connect with them in their times..but this time I think he thinks if he works an early schedule he should be able to talk with them during their day.

@LadyDuck Last year he was telling a funny story about the phone breaking up and the guy he was talking to in Mexico was talking about cranberry sauce since it was near Thanksgiving. After asking him to repeat himself a few times and only repeatedly hearing cranberry sauce at a louder, and louder volume..nephew just said he just said "Yeah, cranberry sauce is pretty good" and then went on with the call..
. It really was pretty funny..

I had a similar experience. I called for an Internet problem, stepped on a Swiss German guy who spoke a decent French. He started to ask about the weather, what there was nice to do here in the area... after 20 minutes I could finally explain him my problem.

I think that we are expecting some rain later on this afternoon, although with the feeling of the temperature today, I hope that it is just liquid rain and not snow.
My daughter-in-law, who was born in Poland, lived in Germany for a year before they immigrated to Canada. Alot of Polish people did that.

@snowy22315 I know that the border is close to Poland and that may have been the shortest route when they were experiencing difficulties with their government back in the early 90's I believe it was.

Early morning rain here but the sun is shining now and it's going to hit about 70 degrees. looks like a really nice day.
Hope your nephew gets to travel with his new job. Sounds exciting.

I think it has the potential to be. He has a lot of excitement going on right now, new city, moving in with his fiancee and new job. It's a lot, but I am sure it is fun and different for him.

How cool to be able to travel between countries and be equally at home in each. And, in Europe, just to be able to flit from one country to another.

No rain here in the province. I hope it will rain in the coming days because it’s been scorching hot these past few days. My uncle lives in Germany. I have not seen him for over a decade.
