I made that one time, and it was really pretty good. I wanted to take baked beans to this picnic tomorrow which is located next to a church since it will be chilly* However, I have been informed there are no microwaves.(for reheating).and if they have this in the pavillion, there is probably no outlets either. So I guess I will go with something else. Popcorn salad,,is unique, and hopefully something everyone will enjoy. I hope it gets eaten though.I don't want to bring alot of it home.

I haven't taken popcorn salad. How do you make it? Sounds good.

There are recipes online for it. It is basically a mayonaise based salad with water chesnuts, cheese, bacon etc. If you don't eat bacon you could probably substitute the soy bacon crumbles.

It's good. I just realized though...I would have to go to Food Lion because I don't have the ingredients here. I don't feel like doing that. Maybe I will just make a pasta salad and put a few add ons in. I was considering peanut butter cookies too, but that might lead to me scarfing some down. Pasta salad is safer.. At least it will be semi homemade and not something grabbed off the shelf. I really don't like when people do that.

It's good. Not in the mood for a trip to the grocery store though.I could be persuaded to go to Dollar General, but they won't have everything they never do!

I do like popcorn and the other ingredients, but not sure if I’d like it all together. I would give it a try.

What all is in that salad? Surely it can't be actual pop corn.

It has been around for at least a century, if not more, and is usually connected to those with Midwesterner ancestry, particularly those from Missouri and Kentucky. Popcorn salad gained notoriety after Food Network presenter Molly Yeh's recipe for it went viral recently. I love this salad, the taste is unique.
