Samantha Bostick who was with her son who were inside a burning auto on Wednesday when their auto was involved in an accident involving a SUV on a highway in Rome Georgia that could have been tragic had two police officers who were in the area not assisted them to get out safely. Rome Georgia Police Officer Dow Turrentine was assisting a fellow police officer during a traffic stop at the same the auto accident happened and the occupants inside the SUV were trapped inside the auto when Officer Turrentine ran toward the stricken auto and he managed to break open the window of the SUV when Officer Turrentine and Christopher Jones as well as another citizen were able to get Samantha and her son Liam were taken out of the auto that caught fire. Samantha had surgery on her knee later on in the day while her son went home after the accident. I am sure that Officer Turrentine and Christopher as well as the other citizen will be rewarded with life saving awards for saving the lives of Samantha and Liam. I'm glad they were rescued. Being trapped in a burning auto would be very scary.

I imagine it would be very dangerous to get people out of a burning car.

Thankful for the police officers and good Samaritan's being at the right place at the right time to give aid to Samantha and Liam.
