Have you heard of these? They are a type of deer smaller than usual deer found in Korea and China and have long canine teeth extending lower than the lower jaw. They also have black eyes. They populate areas near lakes and such areas in China and Korea. Some escaped from UK zoos and can be found there to this day. These deer are called Siberian Musk Deer or Chinese Water Deer. They are very small standing only about two or three feet in adult size. They are hunted for their musk gland. The image is from blogspot.com

They are mostly concentrated in the South East in the UK. Another Chinese deer we have here are the muntjac which can be a bit of a problem as they can be quite aggressive and breed all year around. Two of my friends with motorcycles have hit muntjac whilst out riding. Thankfully neither of them were hurt. The deer's small size and sudden appearance in the road means they are in quite a few collisions.

That seems more like a pest. I just thought this one I wrote about was unusual and wanted to share it here.

How odd. The only small deer I know of are the Key Deer in the Florida Keys. Have a great day.
