13 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.
Good afternoon from a chilly Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA where the temp on my computer says 33F. It's really nice outside. There's no wind, so it isn't raw like the last two days.
First, I want to say thank you to those of you who sent Christmas cards. I keep forgetting to thank you for them. I received them from Eva, @LindaOH, Maria, and Julia. I have eleven cards hanging on my closet door in the dining room. I wondered where I would put them, and that is the perfect place. I also have several from friends in the building, one from my sister, and one from my best friend of 49 years. Also from Debbie and Molly @Corbin5 a myLotter who is no longer here and her dog. Thank you one and all. You guys make my day special.
I'm thankful I have all my cards sent out now. I sent the last one this morning to my grandson. The one who 'moved' to Las Vegas and has a Nashville, TN address. I haven't heard how that came about. It should be an interesting tale.
I'm thankful I got to the exercise class on time this morning. I really need to get up earlier in the morning. I was up at 4:30 and running late.
I'm thankful I got to my chiropractic appointment a few minutes early. I took my book to show her since I had told her about it. I also showed the receptionists and gave them each a business card. They said they love to read and the book sounds good. Their words, not mine.
I'm thankful I could take my friend to get her car fixed. I'm still waiting for the phone call to let me know to take her to pick it up. I think it will be tomorrow.
I'm thankful for the Bible study today in the community room. We studied Noah's Ark. It was a wonderful study about salvation.
I'm thankful for the three chapters I did today on Wilderness Challenge. I'm almost to the point I was before I inserted the three chapters. It's going well. Synching it is easier than I expected.
I'm thankful I have the notifications done for the third time. Spending time with you is always the highlight of my day. I enjoy seeing what you're doing to get ready for Christmas for those of you who celebrate Christmas.

I am glad you had a good day. George seems to be doing quit well for himself, too. He's more alert and oriented. Thinks he's going home tomorrow, but we have a long way to go.

Thank you. I love this time of year. I love sending out Christmas cards as much as I love receiving them.
I'm checking my box every day now.

@just4him No problem, and yes...it is fun to give and receive cards. So far there are only three members I think that we send back and forth but it's been fun to do that.

@just4him Me too, I needed the exercise. Even when I do my steps, I don't do as many as I should do.It just isn't alot of fun.I might have the silver sneakers program not sure, so could go to a local gym if I can find one, they don't seem to last too long in this area..Really I would prefer Planet Fitness, but it is a drive.(like everything)

I am thankful the Christmas cards I sent out seem to be getting to people. 
The times I went to the post office to mail them (I had to go inside to mail them because the size and shapes made them extra postage) were quite confusing, and listening to the workers made me doubt if all of them would arrive. I had never experienced that before.
Also, I am thankful I was able to pick up most of the receipts records I needed, plus the bank records.
