19 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Welcome to my place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA where the temp is in the low 30s. Though it might be colder than that with the wind chill. I have a lot to be thankful for today as usual. I'm thankful I woke when I did this morning at 4 AM. Some of you might know I was up well past my bedtime last night. I still got up earlier than I expected but what I hoped. I'm thankful for the Bible Study this morning at my friend's church. We had a wonderful study on the birth of Jesus. It was followed by lunch and a presentation by the ADRC called Feet First - Preventing Falls. It was a wonderful presentation. I learned that falls in Wisconsin is the highest incidence of ER calls in the US at 53%. The second highest is motor vehicle accidents at 14%. I'm thankful I got home when I did so I could get the apartment ready for the Round Robin that starts in a few minutes. I thought it was for 6 PM but it's 6:30. My apartment looks pretty festive. I'm thankful for the work I did on Wilderness Challenge this morning before I left for Bible study. Not a lot today, but I still expect to get it finished tomorrow. It's possible if I don't need to do anything else. I'm thankful for the Christmas cards I got in the mail. I received two from family, my brother and my cousin. And two from myLotters @Courtlynn and Tammy. I am so blessed. And to show you how much I'm blessed you can see all the cards I've gotten this year from you and the residents here. Forty-two in all.
