Wow, it seems funny to write that! Happy New Year! Pretend you see confetti raining down on you. It is multi colored and a bit sticks in your hair and to your clothing. Was quiet here this New Years, without the. noisy revelers. Yay! Did you have any special snacks for the eve? I didn't want to eat a bunch of stuff before Midnight, but I did have some triscuits and aerosol cheese. I never buy it, but I got the can for free.

We had a late dinner with Dixie and Humberto. I just wrote sbout it. You can skip the confetti at our house. Nobody is able to cleanup after it But I wish you a very happy 2024 with NO confetti around. You can have all the virtual confetti you want, of the kind that clears up by just closing your eyes.

We had several appetizers, a shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Not a lot of food.

Sounds good..I saw one of the TV chefs yesterday make hashbrowns and onions topped with smoked salmon, some sort of cream and dill. It looked pretty good. I haven't had smoked salmon for a long time.

@snowy22315 I buy smoked salmon a couple of times per month, I made crumpets, topped them with the salmon, sour cream and dill.

There was a lot of popping and banging at midnight. I had a PB&J sandwich. Happy New Year.

Good morning and Happy New Year. Yes, I'm imagining the confetti now..... I watched the London fireworks last night on the telly but I thought the music and the voice over, and the highlights of the year gone were too much. I could have done with just the fireworks.

I got tired of the hoopla at some point and put the TV on mute. I turned it up just before Midnight.

@snowy22315 Wish I could have done that, but my Mum wanted to listen to it!

No, I didn’t eat anything special. The fireworks went off constantly, and that annoyed the heck out of Sadie. But my migraine went away after three days so I was celebrating that. Once again, happy New Year!

My stepson and I were the only one awake and neither of us were watching the ball drop or snacking. Just another night here.
