A school shooting in Iowa?

Iowa is one of the states I would consider moving to if and when when I retire. I have lived there for seven years of my life, and really enjoyed the people of Iowa. I also felt really safe there. I never locked my doors, was never racially harassed, and never experienced any crime. Here in California, even out here in the suburbs, mail, catalytic converters, tools, bicycles and cars disappear like candy.
So this morning I read there was a school shooting at a High school in a North suburb of Des Moines. I'm not sure how many were injured or killed, and there were no details yet about the victims, the perp, or the weapon used. A school shooting in Iowa hits kind of close to home for me, closer than the same would in California, even though I currently reside in California.
Time to send healing thoughts, or prayers for those who pray, to the victims and their families. I'll attach an interior photo from my favorite Iowa building, Herrick Chapel, in Grinnell Iowa.

@TheHorse I had to snoop . . . but it appears he was from Nevada, Iowa . . . and she may have been from Liscomb, Iowa (she puts fake things on social media to protect her location, so not sure if that's true, but I do know she was from Iowa).

Do you know where in Iowa they were from? My Great-great Grandfather moved (by wagon train) from Iowa to Montana in the 19th Century. They had trouble crossing the Skunk River. I used to know exactly where the Skunk River was/is.

There are several windows in that chapel that need "new" stained glass. I have saved up some money and have no "official" heirs. I would like to donate some money to my College, but only if it were to be used for a new stained glass window in Herrick Chapel. I wonder how much that costs.
