I admire someone like Oliver James, 35, who spent four years in prison after being convicted on weapons charges after he graduated from high school in 2006 since he could read a complete sentence and spending one year on the streets for one year after his mother's department was burned down to the ground. Oliver spent time in jail in California from 2011 through 2015. When he was released, he decided to read books around 2020 with the help of his partner Annia Halkias in Orange County California to start reading books so that he could make his dream come true to work as a fitness trainer. Oliver is using his skills on Tik Tok to encourage others to learn how to read books as soon as they can even though they are considered over the hill in terms of age. With hard work and dedication, Oliver is now a successful motivational speaker has gained him the ability to read at a fifth grade level with his desire to improve his reading skills in the future. That is true. Bad teachers that did not care for him was a factor in his inability to read as a child.

It is sad he was able to graduate from HS without being able to read. Glad he was able to turn his life around though..that is inspiring.

I'm sure there are many who can't read but they manage to hide the fact.

That is true since I did know some former football players who did confess on television after they retired from the sport.
