I know it's early, but what's for supper?

I am making microwaved scalloped potatoes and ham. I made scalloped potatoes in the microwave one time and became a believer. They are so easy to make in there, and take a fraction of the time. I don't care about the time necessarily, but making tradtional scalloped potatoes is kind of a big deal. Preparing them in the microwave is much easier, and in my opinion they taste better than the tradtional way. what will you have tonight, or don't you know yet?

@snowy22315 It is a recipe I found years ago inside a magazine and I make time by time.

@LadyDuck Maybe I will try something like that sometime. I like a Mexican baked fish when I have whitefish. That is really good. I actually have chips and salsa now too, and probably cheddar cheese as well, and plain yogurt you can use like sour cream. I have a few black olives, no avocados but that is optional. It is unusual that I actually have all the ingredients to make it, other than the whitefish.

I have those here too. I make them when I want something not labor intensive.

@snowy22315 That is exactly why I have them. As I work 12 hours a day. When I arrive home I just want an easy meal.

@flapiz What you might do is set things up in a crockpot, leave it on low when you are at work and come home to a hot meal. 12 hours is a long time, but some of those things take a long time to cook as well. Are you a nurse?

I’m thinking I should eat the turkey before anything else, but I might go creamy chicken soup.

@AmbiePam I think it will be. Nico says to tell you he approves of the ham. He had some nibbles as I was dicing.

Your meal sounds good. We have some ham that we will be having later on. I may have to make potatoes to go with ours. Great minds think alike. I have made scalloped potatoes in the microwave before and you're right, they are good that way.

I was going to have leftovers but I changed my mind. I'm making linguine with Marcella Hazan's tomato sauce.
