Fun with my little one and a great mail day

Wednesday I knew I had an easy dinner to make so I had more time to relax and enjoy spending time with my 2 year old. We made music shakers out of beans and Easter eggs. The cat liked them too. We read a lot of books, colored and drew pictures. It was my husband’s 13 year anniversary at the shop he works at. He celebrated by drinking a bottle of wine. The best part of all was receiving mail from our friend here at myLot. @sallypup sent me a Yule Tale that she writes and her daughter illustrates it. I know her husband has a part in it too but will have to wait and edit this once she corrects me. I feel so lucky to receive this that I am adding it to my jar of good things that happen this year to read through at the end of the year. You can see the photo of the cover of the Yule Tale in my photo. I whitened out her daughter’s name in case she doesn’t want that shared. Thursday I had to do some errands around town with my little one. As part of a “Happier January 2024” calendar a friend sent me I turned off all tech last night at least an hour before bed. I read a book I’ve been reading since before Christmas. I enjoyed the story so much I wound up reading 127 pages. I didn’t want to put it down but knew I’d be really tired if I stayed up any later. Its four stories in one book this one is “A very Maui Christmas” by Mary Carter.

I opted out of the Yule tale this year. I told sallypup not to spend postage on me! I'm glad you received one. I hope you have a good weekend.

@Lindaohio aww that was thoughtful of you. This is my first time receiving one to say I am excited is an understatement. I was bursting to tell everyone here when I received it and am trying to get through the book I am reading to read her tale.

@shaggin Every year the Tale is different. Please don't worry about postage. If you want to be on the list I will send you another next year.

Did you white out the name on the actual booklet or just on the photo?

I wish someone would send me a Happier January 2024 calendar. I would love to have that, and you know a Happier 2024 calendar sounds like a great idea, and one that would be a big seller. There is a book I have called Simple Abundance that tells you things to do on each day of the year to kind of celebrate life and smell the roses. Unfortunately, it is packed away somewhere now.

@allknowing the days have been good this week thankfully. I left out a gross thing that happened Wednesday I figured keeping it all good was better for others to read

@Marshamusselman I love anytime I get to spend quality time with my kids . Thank you for the correction yes illustrates is what I meant I believe autocorrect was the culprit on that one.

@MarshaMusselman oh I know my phone can do that but I have it turned off it just confused me how it works.

@shaggin my culprit is usually because I use the swype text option on my android. That means my finger goes from one letter to the next and it can't always pick up on the right word. If I'm in a hurry and forget to check for typos before sending, it could cause a lot of questions.

@sallypup ahh interesting she changed it. I always told my daughter and others that if she doesn’t like her name she can change it as an adult. She’s 19 now and hasn’t changed it so ..

@sallypup I am glad my post made you happy but seriously no thanking me I thank you for sending me this. I’m still so happy about it and am trying to get through my book faster to read the Yule Tale. You will have to message me and tell me how you pronounce your daughter’s first name.

@Judyev it’s not a paper calendar like you’d hang on your wall. I shared a link to what it is in the responses to snowy. Today it said to “ Take a different route today and see what you notice“. I was able to take a different road on my way home today but didn’t see much as it was only a few miles difference. Still nice though.
