The Mansplain Man

I think most of us have heard “mansplain”, but if not, the definition is a man explaining something in a condescending manner to a woman with the assumption she has no knowledge about the topic. One man stands out in my mind, but I’m not sure he realizes he does it. He wants everyone to think he is the smartest person in the room, and he will correct the smallest thing any woman says. He does not do this to men, but even men notice his condescension to women. Why he wants to belittle women is a mystery. It makes me appreciate all the men who don’t do that.
Do you know a “mansplainer”?

Friend can be a little bit like that. If I hear him start though, I just tell him to knock it off.

I have seen many. I feel that men who have little self steem have to need to do that specially in front of other men.

I wonder if they are masking their own insecurities by trying to make themselves appear self-important and superior. Kind of having to prove themselves to you. Could also be a power thing too.
